Seems like a cracking deal. 3Cs put it on £100+ new. Cherry Reds. Full RGB. Full ISO.

Not a huge fan of pre-built myself, but bit the bullet for a nice work board. Might add some o-rings later not to piss off my colleagues too much

Had the K95 non-rgb model refurb a few years back and had to go through 3 more due to poor refurbishing from whoever did them before asking for full refund, in my experience a no go for me!

I mean, mate... not the same keyboard, most probably from not the same seller, not even stating what the problem was and got a full refund. Not to be an arse, but your comment is not useful in any way.

I had 4 of these K70's, all returned under RMA except the last one which was out of the 3 year warranty expiration period. The LEDs start dying after ~9 months and once it starts, it only gets worse. They assured me every time that they had changed the way they made them and that the problem was now resolved... not!

fair comment. Why would you have 4 of them then?
RMA replacements for the broken ones

I see you didn't see my point then! Like @TrevorPH stated, he had to go through 3 more also due to poorly refurbed RMAs and his weren't refurbed ones and got poor experience, but anyways I digress. My point is that if Corsair still haven't inproved their refurbing and QA testing procedures, then I suggest stay away from refurb models!

Well, now it is a fair point.
I bought a K65 refurb from them back in March. I expect some LEDs to start dying soon then
i have a k70 lux rbg from October 18 and still going strong no issues, was a refurb from Scan also

Oh yeah that's right, from them, forgot to point that out before. 😋
Silly question but anyone use one of these with a Mac? Is there software to control the RGB?
Just wish any decent deals on blue switches came about, it’s always reds. I don’t think I could get used to them as I have blacks at the moment
Also bought a K70 refurb from scan, definitely sent one back but i'm fairly sure it was two. Just a warning that you may have to do some running around.
I've had the K70 LUX for 2 or 3 hears and never had any problems with it. To have 3 or 4 in a row go wrong is either stupidly bad luck or a fault elsewhere

Or corsair or the seller keep sending out bad refurbs

It's a fault. If you google for the symptoms you'll find loads of reports everywhere about it. I eventually gave up on mine after the warranty ran out and I'd had one go at replacing the blown LEDs myself (worked but were brighter than the originals) and gave it my nephew. Replaced it with a Strafe RGB Silent which has a plastic body so doesn't act like a giant earth for static to flow through!

I'm on my 2nd now - the first one had some weird circuitry issue where you press one key on the left and it pressed every key on that row. Corsair replaced directly and the service was excellent - so far all is well and all LEDs are ok, but it's widely reported that they fail randomly and without reason. To be fair, My Roccat Ryos Pro LEDs failed within a month, so it seems to be widespread amongst a few manufacturers.

Definitely worth some heat and you're buying from a reputable dealer - just remember to wear a full rubber suit to avoid static charges blowing the LEDs!
