Stone cold I'm afraid.Having had a very quick look, you can get one for less with an SSD already in it, and twice the RAM.

But that has nasty Windows on it. So you'll sit there for 5 mins waiting to boot up, then you'll have an update and have to restart, then wait another 10 mins for the update to process.

Seems to be quite a lot of negative feedback against that seller though.

Amazon feedback is different to eBay feedback, they aren't really comparable. Besides you are dealing with Amazon.

It's Amazon feedback that would stop deals from Amazon sellers being posted here though ...

Because the battery is past it?

Because the LCD is really old and not very bright?

Because the 3340m isn't exactly fast?

Because the 3340m has a TDP of 35w?

Because the SSD is probably 2nd hand/questionable quality/lifetime?

Because the laptop is so big you could use it for personal defence if someone breaks into your house? Actually thats a plus...
Just be aware chromebooks auto updates stop around 6.5 years after the first chip is used in a chromebook, not when the chromebook is released. The 3060 chip has been used in chromebooks for quite a while so if this machine is a Generation 5 which I think it is, then auto updates will stop July 2021. That's 2 years guaranteed updates, after it's end of life you can sometimes put Windows (crying) or linux on them but not on all machines, as some don't have drivers etc... more info on here:

mrchromebox.tech/

Always check end of auto updates before you buy here:

support.google.com/chr…=en

On a side note the 3060 chips not that great, in my experience it's okay just, it hits octane 2.0 scores of around 8800. These days I would aim for 12,000 + and 4gb ram as a minimum spec, although benchmarks are not the be all and end all.

Chromebooks have saved me countless hours of not having to sort out botched windows updates and errors and for that I applaud them, but their auto update policy is crap. All chromebooks should have the end of life date on the device so you know what you are getting just like you do when you see a use by label on food.
Love Chromebooks. But a quad core device (even a celeron) feels notably faster. Bests the pants off Windows though, either way.
I recently got one Chromebook. With android apps support, my suggestion is to get one with touch screen and if possible with fhd display.

Hope there's a way to update manually. Got Acer R13 which has touch screen , FHD with Flip model for £230. With Android Apps support and Linux in beta its outstanding. Love my chromebook though its auto update ends by Jun2021 as per google. But still i'm happy with it.
Not a fan of these low end CB's but at least this has got 4GB RAM.

My old c720 auto update ended in June but if you click on updates manually it still updates, I don't know for how long though. I think your Acer runs an Arm cpu so Cloudready or Gallium OS won't work at the moment but maybe in the future it will when your updates expire.
Any recommendations for a FHD model with touchscreen and Android app support.

Looks good mate, Looks a little too expensive for what I was hoping to spend.
