If you are crafty with cex vouchers, you can get great deals if you are knowledgeable about your requirements. I paid roughly 350 cash/500 cex voucher for a Huawei matebook x Pro 2020 i7 10th gen 16gb 1tb ssd 2k touchscreen
    That's been my game also

If you play it right you can get super deals. Some of the products are priced around 60% cheaper than rrp of new laptops.

    48368304-uGv3X.jpg24m warranty as usual
That's only 8GB RAM and B or C grade. What's the point of your post?

Battery life looks like it's spoiling the deal, otherwise, !wow!
    buy a new battery!

I know it's i7, but power and heat output on these majorly impacts performance and whilst people will argue build is better, already has fair few years on the clock. Personally be looking for something newer for the money
I was still using my t480 at work until a few months ago. I rejected an upgrade of a brand new Dell 520 as there was no noticable performance difference and the Dell had a smaller screen and less inputs/outputs ie needed a hub just to be able to use accessories and external monitor.

I replaced the t480 with a t490. I still dont notice any difference in performance. Forced to upgrade as the t480 did not have a tmp chip, required for work security.

For office functions this cant be beaten - there is no comparison with home use laptops; even though you may get better spec with a more recent laptop, they wont be as enjoyable to use. These laptops are very easy to upgrade and to replace damaged parts (edited)

Power saving tech has moved on since 8th gen i7.

But, if you want get the most out of it, it's easy to swap out for a factory fresh battery, 10 minute job. Price for new battery, no idea. Probably >£40
I think you can get an extended battery as well.

I got a dell latitude recently off ebay for 75 quid - no battery but you can get one cheap and charger was included. 256gb ssd, i5 7300u - there are better deals than this around, especially ex business laptops.

Only £40 to buy a new battery on this deal and with the i7 core, it's still a bargain.

Looking for a machine to host a Plex server and maybe host some other network programs , would this be overkill ?
YOu'd be better spending the same money on a NUC. YOu dont need to spend money on a battery, screen and keyboard for a server so you'll get a newer CPU and more RAM.

Can you use this code on eBay if you receive a discounted offer from the seller on an item which had this code shown on main page?

    I have a similar one.
Touch pad is temperamental, and the screen quality is poor.
I wouldn’t buy this brand anymore
    What model do you have?

    How much?

These machines are a bit "industrial" looking compared to modern laptops. I have this exact model.

I had one of these and I switched to a HP Z book Fury which is a much nicer machine to use
    Aren't they £2k machines?
