good find op, heat added
Excellent price. This is a great find and perfect for those people or families on a tight budget that otherwise couldn't afford a tablet. Good work op
better off paying the extra for the brand new version at Staples posted on here - £49.99
Wow!! The engineer powered up the device to check it. Must need some amazing qualifications to get a job there! lol. Good price though. Worth a punt.
hdmi out?
links says does have hdmi. mega hot. as cheap aa chromecast and firestick but can more easily get things like hotstar and premier league pass and doubles up as free tablet! hmmm remixos possibility too. though i never got that on external micro sd on my t100.
Good price but windows tablets are generally terrible. You would probably be better off with a low end or discounted android model and it's not like those are difficult to find.
I'm pretty sure this is the same tablet as mine which I bought off a deal a year or two ago. It's recently upgraded itself to Windows 10 in case you wanted to know if it's possible. It does have a form of mini HDMI (you might need a special cable) and is handy for Windows-only stuff eg low powered humblebundle games, but you will be wanting a mouse and keyboard in no time.
tried to order one and instead of free delivery, it wanted £19.99 to deliver to the Isle of Wight ??????
please be aware that the windows app market is really bad. I bought a windows phone and almost literally never used it because the apps market is so limited, even for basic needs

Yes, very true. Don't consider this a replacement for an android or apple tablet. More like a mobile PC. You will be satisfied with this purchase if you already know what you want to run on it before buying, but not if it's a present for a person who wants 'a tablet' as they will be expecting WhatsApp, clash of clans etc.

Mobile store is different to the regular Windows one, both quite lacking though. "Basic needs" doesn't require apps, use what's built in and websites!

Yes but android keeps on being upgraded (if you are lucky: you may not find an upgrade for you tablet, they are model specific) also lots of the apps also keep being upgraded. Although a lot of apps are free or very low cost, they often show you unrelated ads. Why do so many apps need to access so many of my personal details? Why do they often need to use my location? Spyware seems to abound!
Ok, some might say Windows 10 is spyware! But at least you are only sending it to one company not thousands
some great Games on here if you can't afford an xbox one. But wouldn't buy one for a child. Even YouTube doesn't have a proper app ! Windows mobile is dead now :((((((

True but windows 10 has proportionally just as many dodgy and malware infected apps, believe me.

If you want the total safety of the walled garden then you have to pay the premium for apple.
Hey everyone, is there any way to get the product key or a way to transfer it to a desktop pc? it would be cheaper than buying a full copy individually
Windows on tablet is an incredibly frustrating experience. If you want a tablet, go for an Android or Apple device. If you want portable windows, get a laptop.

I was also worried so I called Microsoft after I purchased the key who verified and said it was genuine. I figured I'd take a punt on it and seems to have worked.
Why would you buy a Windows 10 license? You can legally upgrade this tablet to Windows 10 for free direct from Microsoft's web site. You can also use free Microsoft tools (or even 3rd party ones) to create a factory image, upgrade to Windows 10 before the end of July and you have a full Windows 10 install...
Heat for the deal btw

that's quite good then, I noticed aLV426 mentioned that you could use the windows 10 from the tablet. but it's bit of a hassle and it's easier if you have the product key and oem. thanks for the help guys

No! it's just as easy and FREE to read the key from the tablet. Although build 10586 November 2015 release of Windows 10 will do this on installation anyway.

You wouldn't want to anyway, this version is limited to 2gb ram.

As far as I'm aware there's no starter edition of Windows 8, therefore no RAM limitation, and you can even use Windows 7 Starter to upgrade to Windows 10 Home as it's a valid upgrade path and we've done this many times in work. Upgraded Windows 7 Starter Edition to WIndows 10 Home, as there's no starter edition of Windows 10.

There are no 2GB RAM limitations with Windows 10, so if you did manage to nick the key which you can do then you can upgrade to Windows 10 Home.

How much RAM does each edition of Windows 10 support?

Windows 10 Home 32 bit 4GB
Windows 10 Home 64 bit 128GB
Windows 10 Pro 32 bit 4GB
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 512GB
Windows 10 Enterprise/Education 32 bit 4GB
Windows 10 Enterprise/Education 64 bit 512GB

Yeah I can't see a RAM limitation in upgrading, although this is a more expensive way of getting a Windows 10 licence by buying this tablet, just buy a £10 licence that BuzzDuraband mentioned instead.

Yeah, pretty much, far less hassle.

If you look for it hard enough though, you can find the 8.1 with Bing iso in a few places on the internet. MS keep it tightly hidden because, I believe, that it generates a new valid license key on every device that it is installed on for the first time.

If you are on a tight budget don't burn your money here.
Only people who know nothing about computers post and vote these deals hot.
Complete and utter craps not fit for purpose
I had one of these when they were £40 new. It's alright if you want a cheap Windows tablet but it will NEVER replace an Android tablet. It's too fiddly to use and the apps available are abysmal! If you want to connect an external hard drive or DVDRW you need a USB hub powered externally (about £6 on Amazon) as the USB port doesn't provide enough juice to power those types of devices. Great tablet for the price though, just as long as you know what you're getting by going with Windows.
Also, I'm pretty sure the free upgrade to Windows 10 ends soon so download it ASAP. The tablet runs so much better on Windows 10.
Is nobody mentioning that this tablet only has 1gb ram?
I have this Linx 7. And its okay for very light browsing. I use it to visit HUKD in bed ;P
Can I run windows exe program file in it?

Out of interest, if you were to install RemixOS (or Android) onto this Windows Tablet (&/or the 8"/10" equivalents of the same?), will the RemixOS make/allow a 'Dual-Booting' process?, or will it ask for/demand to take over the whole eMMC Memory/Windows OS & forcibly replace it with RemixOS/Android instead or something?.

I'm seriously interesting to try this method of Dual-Booting either/both a 10" Linx Windows 10 Lite Tablet & 8" Linx Windows 8 Tablet I got a few months ago, but DON'T want to trash my Tablet's on account of RemixOS/Android killing them?.

Is there a viable way of being able to do this? (so I can have both?, or ..... )

Ps.
I've already upgraded the Windows 8.1 that came with both Tablet's to Windows 10 ages ago already now.

Thanx in advance for any help in this regard for any help. :-)

Can I run windows exe program file in it?

Yes. It is full Windows 10. Plug it in to a monitor, and connect a mouse/keyboard and you have yourself a normal Windows PC.
