Good price for a good phone, especially if you are a little older and need a slightly bigger screen. Well worth a look.

Seems fair, anyone bought a refurb from Argos?
Hate this type of description. How does one compare the processor with another one?

Mobile phone features:

Blazing fast octa-core processor: run multiple apps at the same time without slowing down.
Yea have bought a couple . And have a G5 on the way, always been like new just a damaged box
This....Or pay another £16 for a g5?

Is the one for £115 definitely a g5? it says moto g 5 inch doesn't say moto g5 anywhere i can see
It's a bit ambiguous
If you search for the EAN \x09(6947681528406) it's the moto g with a 5" screen
so i take it these are customer returns and refurbed .... knowing my luck i would get a duffer

You look it up on GSMArena. It's a Snapdragon 617.

Isn't that one £119? I tried to buy one last night and both cards I tried didn't work so I gave up

Thank you
I'd avoid. Moto G4 refurbs are likely to have been sent back because of the ghosting issues.

seems unlikely they would sell it as refurbished if it has the ghosting fault, they come with 12 months guarantee plus paypal cover so they'd just get them returned again
Obviously, they wouldn't sell it without fixing the issue, but a repair for that particular problem wouldn't likely be permanent, as it's a hardware fault.
I can't be the only one fed up with what are well meaning but ageist descriptions about mobile phones. This one isn't too bad suggesting I suppose either older people can't see smaller screens too well or possibly they have movement limitations requiring more touch screen room, with the common comment inferring older people can not adapt to new technology and the phone being mentioned is simple to use. There is no need for this stereotyping.

I am older and do need reading glasses, bigger screen is useful and I do not take offence at the stereotyping just because the younger ones can type quicker on phones, they spend so much time on them they should be good lol

I'm a "bit" older and had this Moto G4. I recently upgraded to the Moto G5 and quite honestly the reduction in screen size is making me wish that I'd stuck with my Moto G4!

I prefer it when people say "this phone has a bigger screen" so that those of us who might not have 20/20 vision stand some chance of comparing things.

As far as my experience with Moto phones goes, half an inch makes a big difference to screen size.

Ditto but 40years IT experience, mostly as a software engineer. Started out writing Intel 8080 assembly code in 1977 for real time systems.

I use two phones one of which is a Moto G4 Plus which replaced a Moto G2 3G. I bought it back in March (as an Amazon Warehouse deal) in preference to a G5 for it's larger screen for mapping apps and it's a 4G+3G phone. Good phone (and I've had many) and mine doesn't have the ghosting issue although the earpiece audio is tinny compared to my other LG G2 (custom firmware) phone.

IMHO, this is a good deal for a Moto G4.

I have a G4 bought when they first came out, brilliant phone NO Problems with it at all.
OUT of STOCK
I've bought a refurb phone from Argos, had problems and they paid for the return. Very easy and fair

I have the G4 Play and my wife has the G5. If this comes back into stock, I will buy for the turbo charging (60% charged in 15mins) as well as the additional performance that I dont neeed over the G4 Play.

Beware the G5 power button. its in a bloody silly place. middle of right side where you hold the phone by default. Otherwise its OK

I bought a refurbished Nexus 9 then the screen died about 10 months later ... got a complete refund after sending the device back for them to examine it.
