What is the catch? They are REFURB's in fully working condition with a 90 day warranty!

The good point is they still have AMD rewards, so GOLD with 7950 and SILVER with 7850. That means sub £80 for a 7950 and sub £50 for a 7850!

Bear in mind the equal card to the 7950 is a R9 280 which are £150 new, so the same performance for half the price with a warranty!

Good price, if you're looking at the 7950 go for the Twinfrozr version for £10 more (Better cooling):

Is the 2 GB 7850 worth the extra £10 over the 1 GB version?

You can never have enough vram especially these days.

Gold rewards will probably fetch around £30 on ebay as well.

If you're gaming, and at 1920x1080, 2GB would be worth the extra

is it worth the upgrade from R7 260x 1gb OC ? ......and is one of the free games access to Star Citizen now or just on release?!

cheers ..voted hot

you can trade in at CEX for £93 in vouchers and keep the games

Ordered a 7950, Cheers

I have a AMD HD 7770 1GB would there be much improvement in gaming if I upgrade to the 7850 2GB? I do only have G3258, would that CPU hold back a 7850 2GB?

From my understanding and don't quote me you get put into the what is now a beta and get the full game when its released plus a special amd ship or something.
Its just that I was looking at buying it myself and that's what I got.

Don't know much about AMD as I'm from the green team :-)

In vram terms I sold my gtx 780 3gb(Nvidia) for a 970 4gb and paid about £30 more after selling the NVidia promotion games.
Main reason was for £30 to get 1gb vram was worth it IMO.
The vram is getting mega important for future games. Even 4gb vram isn't enough on some, but that can be argued about poor optimisation.

If your gaming at 1920x1080 or above then yes the 2gb is worth the extra money.

Not a bad deal, just been searching for a 7950 less than half hour ago. Looking for a sapphire 7950 on ebay as they have transferable warranty

thanks...... begrudgingly... from a Hull City fan

would have bought but such a low warranty rings alarm bells for me

Thanks guys.
I wish I could run the 7950 on my 450 watt psu, cause I can't really afford another one atm.
Still, 7850 seems to be able to do a decent oc so it should be a nice upgrade.

I'm surprised this is not at 300-400 degrees by now. I thought these prices were fantastic. Are people put off by the refurb condition perhaps?

I voted HOT but these prices could still be better for 2+ year old cards. Sapphire R9 280 can be had on amazon for £135, so gives you warranty for like 2 years as apposed to 3 months and is brand new. I'm not saying these are bad prices, but they could be better for 2 year old refurbs

Shame about the warranty otherwise I'd have got one.

Postage puts me off slightly... but still great prices for the cards. The games are nice too. Shame I can't warrant a stray £100~ for an upgrade. My GTX 460 sounds like a lawnmower usually D:

If the 5% + free postage discount code (hotukdeals.com/vou…092) works, I'll be all over this deal.

Probably used and returned by Bitcoin miners. These will have been run into the ground, no wonder the warranty is so short

the word 'OVERCLOCKERS' rings alarm bells with me, these things stop working if pushed too hard.

Hmmm, yes, I believe these two AMD cards were the card of choice for bitcoin miners, something about their ability to execute the most calculations per second at the lowest running cost. Could be wrong but this is an enthusiast site so it's 50/50.

not many miners use graphics cards now, these dedicated chips or mining kit instead as its less power hungry. most miners now are corporates

Yes it would be nearly twice as fast and will have double Vram. CPU is not a problem. That CPU is good.

Im running a 7950 msi with 4690k clocked at 4.1ghz from a 450w gold rated psu and it copes just fine, gpu-z reported I was using 2.9gig vram with ultra and very high settings no AA @1080p, far cry 4 game looks nicer from my old 7850 2 gb with 60fps average.

Very good price indeed, HEAT

Anyone know if I can crossfire the 7950 with my 280X? + good find, heat added

Excellent, my brother could benefit from a second 7950.

If I'm not mistaken, yeah... 280X are 7970 rebranded, with a slightly different Tahiti GPU.

Can any one recommend a good place outside of ebay to sell my old cards?

I know these kind of questions get asked all the time but I am going to ask as you all seem to know a lot more than me about this.

Sapphire AMD HD6670 2GB DDR3 - this is the card I have I use it for basic gaming and run 2 screens of it, but looking to get in to more in depth games.

would it be worth upgrading to one of these cards if so which one?

I run 2 u2414h screens if that makes a difference and I do like the eyefinity way

would it also fit this motherboard - Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G

as this is the board I have

£50 looks a good punt, but £80+ is getting too close to brand new, with warranty, more future proof offers.

Im very tempted to get the MSI AMD ATI Radeon 7950 Twin FrozR that has been pointed out but is it worth the upgrade from a radeon 6970? It is only £95.99

Aren't you concerned that if you bought it from Amazon it'd have been damaged by the humidity?

how hot do these run? was thinking of use in a budget htpc.for occasional gaming

Tempted to get the 7950 twinfozr for xfire with my sapphire 7950, bargain at this price. My 7950 handles bf4 on ultra with aa and a few others off or low and I get 60+ easy fps. Great find op.
