Seems a good deal for the glowlit model. A project for me to try and root/mod and generally mess with anyway.
It's the model with the SD card slot.
I used to shop in Morgans when they had a shop on New Oxford Street and never had a problem. Not bought online from them though.
3 months warranty/refurb - also available on their main site but curiously at a higher price?
Anyway, might be a turkey but worth a punt?

Out of the box one is limited I think to Barnes and Noble. I've read many other threads though that direct one to links on how to root this and enable access to other apps. So if you don't mind messing about with firmware and the like then you should be able to get kindle on it.
Can you get apps on this? This is just a e-reader.

Not the same model but I'm hoping a bit more research and I'll find something that will work.
I think most e-readers are 6 inch screens?
I don't really like reading e-books on tablets or phones for more than a few minutes as it gets uncomfortable for longer than that.
I also prefer reading a broadsheet newspaper instead of a paperback ;-)
(e-books are not formatted like a website, nobody ever complained about books being too small)
Kindle PW but it's 3x the cost...
I've been thinking of getting a Glowlight for some time. At this price I couldn't resist/
Well spotted. Heat added.
Completely agree.
If your public library offers the service (Hampshire does), you can 'borrow' books free of charge for two weeks, just like the normal library. Then renew.
I have had a Nook Simple Touch for over a year, and very pleased indeed. I have no problems whatsoever reading books on this ereader, and I am in my seventies!
(That is an incredible bargain at post #6.)

Quick update for anyone with misgivings re Morgan. My Nook arrived today and although I haven't unboxed it completely it appears to be brand new or at the very least as good as. No scratches or other cosmetic flaws. So far so good anyway but will faithfully report back if any catastrophic failures follow!
I notice that they are selling the non glowlit version for £28.95
I hate it when that happens!
Hopefully they can replace, had a Simple Touch and very pleased.
Only a handful available though, be quick ebay.co.uk/itm…ddb
I would also recommend purchasing the accessories from the Barnes and Noble website:
nook.com/gb/…ies
They have wonderful covers for only £5.
Thanks for that.
