Hmm, these were a pretty good spec and were around £150 new 2 years ago if memory serves. Doesn't seem to be much off for a 2 year old handset

£150? You sure, it's hard to find a new one for under £150 today, never mind 2 years ago.

Yes, I was looking for a new phone 2 years ago and this was on my shortlist. £150 was my budget

They were about £220, I was going to buy one but settled on the ZUK Z2 instead.
(This was around October 2016 btw)

Not possible that it's 2 years old - only launched in September 2016.

The axon 7 was over £200 but the mini was lower priced. When I was looking at then they started from £170 but the price came down a bit from there

Ahhh... The axon 7, what a ridiculously horrible phone that truly was.

Ah that must be it then, I thought £220 was a good price considering the specs so probably the larger one.

The larger one was more like £350. I was looking for one at the time, got one, and regret it to this day.

Probably right, knew it was way out of my price range

In fact ridiculously, you still can't get the axon 7 for much less now. Horrible phone.

The axon 7 was amazing on release. Somehow ZTE made it worse with each OTA update, but at release the phone was untouchable for the price. Gonna be sad to say goodbye when my mix 2s shows up.

Great minds, just took receipt of a beautiful white mix 2s this morning, first thoughts are, it's really compact for a 6 inch screen phone.

My first thoughts were exactly that, because I have yet to even switch it on, shall let you know when I do.
Guys, can't find the other HUKD thread for this (actually it's here), but it's £69.99 Grade B or £99.99 Grade A at the moment from tech-outlet-store1 ebay.co.uk/itm…612

Very happy with my Axon 7 (the big daddy version) but of course, ZTE's status as a phone manufacturer is on a shaky nail at the moment...but you can (officially) upgrade the 7, and 7 Mini, to 7.1.1 if I remember right (did my mum's Axon Mini, but then she broke her arm and is still staying with her Moto G3 while she heals).

Not sure what the latest is on Oreo, but it was available for Lineage OS.

Edit: I should also point out you get the UK ZTE QC 3.0* charger and USB-C cable (not pictured on that post, but it is further down the thread) with the phone from tech-outlet-store1 - don't know if Music Magpie supply this (doesn't sound like it) but the ZTE charger is quite hard to source. No SIM tool, though, but I had one anyway.

*The Axon 7 Mini is QuickCharge 2.0, the Axon 7 is QC 3.0 - seems this seller supplies the very same STC-A5930A-B charger I have.

That's a big price difference between A and B, makes you wonder what the B will actually be like, wouldn't put me off like.

You know what, still yet to use the thing. Haha. Sorry.

Will hopefully get the chance to swap everything over tonight, all being well, my 5 year old birthday today, my 15 month old is hard work, and so is my partner
