64GB will probably feel a bit cramped over time...

Hot indeed. I would go for the 128gb though.

Excellent price, I honestly wish I could justify the purchase of one to the better half.

At the risk of upsetting the Windows followers, they may be higher priced than a Windows laptop, but worth every penny, once you go OSX you never go back (_;)

Took me ages to convince the mrs about my rMBP. But now she has seen it, she def wants an apple laptop once her windows (HP) one gives up! I think the battery life is a major plus for her too.

Could one play Football Manager 2014 online with this with Windows users?

£200 netbook specs. Good price considering the MSRP mind.

It's a Steamplay title so yes.

I don't understand why this is a good price? I picked up a brand new 2014 model with 128gb off the curry's £100 cash back deal for £649... I might be missing something completely here I dont know. I'm usually impressed with Apple refurb prices too

I find the 11.6 too small rather get the pro....and currys is selling the new version for £649 so would be better to get it from them

Too small for me screen wise. You'd be just as well getting an iPad.

Storage space not bad when you consider cloud storage is quite cheap these days.

Also.. New ones will be announced next month (although that will always happen)

There's always ALWAYS someone who asks this on every laptop/PC thread. The requirements for FM are so low you could play it on a potato... Is there some ongoing joke I'm missing here?

Unlikely since we're still on Haswell

It is surely a feasible question for someone to ask if they can cross play it online, that has nothing to do with the system requirements but the servers.

And yes, FM14 has cloud save facility cross platform as well as cross platform server support.

£649 might not be in someones budget, £150 difference is signficant.

Looks like it's that time again where I'll mull over buying a Macbook and then realise I have far too many computers and back out...

And 2% tcb / quidco ?

My TCB tracked quickly on a Mac Boor Air Refurb purchase the other week, If I recall it was 4%.

Thank you for answering my question mate and thank you even more for understanding it

Good deal, but they don't have any stock. The cheapest one they do have in stock is the 2013 13.3" at £679

I understand that.. Wouldn't of been able to affoard one myself without the cashback. A budget of £500 can get them something far better than even the 2014 air though which is why I don't find this to be thst great a price.

Tell me where I can buy a £200 net book with core i5, 4GB of memory, an SSD, 11-12" IPS screen, aluminium chassis, and quality keyboard and trackpad. Look for that spec in windows laptops and you soon find that you are looking north of £750, which is Mac book air money.

Except when you can't do what you want, yeah?

The Dell XPS 11 Ultrabook has very comparable specifications including a QHD 2560x1440 11.6" display but has a rubbish keyboard due to the ability to fold the screen 180 degrees. Dell Outlet currently have refurbs for £450.

No stock here on Safari, Chrome or FF

This would be great advice if the 11" had an SD card slot

I had this machine for 3 years (it got stolen), the 64gb may feel small but it lasted me that long, i mainly had documents, very little media, it was/is a brilliant machine because i was always on the go and it was perfect because it is so light yet really powerful, my writing pad weighs more than this laptop.

I had the Itel Core 2 Duo version, if that was fast for me I'm sure the i5 will be blazingly fast. if you have a lot of media you can buy a portable hard drive or even buy a few of those 32gb SD cards, they are about £10 each.

This would be an amazing christmas present for anyone starting uni or anyone in need of a new laptop.

Sorry my mistake, i just realised that the 11" doesn't have an SD card slot, i upgraded to a 13" Retina and i assumed the 11" had one as well, you can get those tiny USB drives that can hold 64gb, that would be really good.

Its the hokey cokey of stock levels. In, out, In, out, and shake it all about. Apple: awesome marketing, great customer service, good hardware, erratic software, rubbish web site. If I wanted one, I think I might try phoning.
