Yes yes, I'm sure you could build something of equivalent spec using yesterday's left-over Ham and bits of string, but the fact is this: A 15.4" Macbook Pro Retina has never been cheaper than this anywhere, not even refurbished at Apple (where its minimum price was £1319). There's also 1.5% TCB and free delivery.

Intel® Core™ i7 processor Quad-Core 2.3GHz
Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
Memory: 8 GB
Hard drive: 256 GB SSD
Intel HD Graphics 4000 + NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

awesome

Great price for an amazing laptop.

NB: This refurbished machine cannot be registered with Apple and is ineligible for Apple Care.

It truly beggars belief that someone could consider this a deal new let alone used oO

If you have one you know this is probably the best laptop out there but 1200 for a refurb???

Bought a 17" Macbook pro from here about 2 years ago for a similar price - a truly amazing machine. I would have to be surgically removed from my person and is a different world away from any current windows PC - windows users - you just don't know what you are missing!

I think we do certainly not £1200 for starters

Not £1200 for a second-hand laptop that's for sure..

no you'd rather lose weeks of your lives solving blue screens, installing drivers and defragging obviously.

I would rather pay for those days to be mine again and not in the hands of microsofts.

Plus i have never used a windows machine that starts up in 6 seconds flat like this does!

I deal with both windows and mac on a daily basis as an IT tech and you all need to remember you pay for what you get.

I would rather stump up the cash...

If a user is constantly getting blue screens there doing it wrong. I'm constantly fixing friends and family PCs because they fiddled or visited doggy websites. My machine runs smoothly with no issues. Most of the issues are caused by the squishy human part not the hardware.

Admittedly a lot of mac issues seem to go away with a reboot (I use them at work) but all computers can have problems, driver issues and get viruses. Macs aren't bullet proof but are good machines. My work mac was worth over £1000, my £400 Dell is just as powerful, stable and has been working well for years.

This deal is a decent saving so heated.

Can't say I really get what your saying their not something that makes much sense to me I do however like to play the odd game now and again, have access to a full range of software and have enough money left over for a decent holiday with my NEW laptop (_;)

Are you aware that PCs and Macs are built on the same hardware platform. You can actually build a machine that would beat the top of the range Mac Pro, both running Apples OS for less than half the price a Mac pro.

Building your own laptop is not an option for most people and is therefore irrelevant

Cold - i built better spec using old ham and string. Poor, very poor.

Does Apple do that to you?

What nonsense are you talking, compete with them with what, if there is no other company making hardware coupled with their own OS.

The exterior and the OS are the only Apple components, everything else is made by companies that create PC hardware ranging from the processor, graphics card and even the displays.

This is why a computer running Apples own OS is able to beat the most expensive Mac Pros on the market, costing less than half the price.

I like Apple products but only a fool will think they not overpriced and dated equipment.

It is no wonder apple continue to sell at such ludicrously high prices when people believe this.

Voted hot BECAUSE OF THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT (which is surely the point of this website)
