Still one of the BEST 802.11ac routers in the market. Standard 1 year warranty + you can claim an additional (upto) 2 years of warranty with AppleCare of your Apple TV or Mac!

Ancient technology. Was never worth the original price anyway and still too expensive, even after this reduction. Cold

I have been using it for the past 4 years, has worked brilliantly for me. Only recently received a security update, as long as Apple is selling it (and a few years after Apple stops), its guaranteed to keep receiving software updates + you can always hook up a external hard drive to it and configure time machine Time Machine backups (flawless)
I wouldn't call 802.11ac ancient technology! I've always had one of these hooked up to my router as it provides a far superior coverage to generic routers from broadband suppliers.

Apple often have the Time Capsule 2TB on offer at £149. It's well worth waiting for this for the added functionality of automated backups etc.
Heard good things about these with regards to reliability and range. Seems a decent price so have some heat.

What makes this worth three times the price of other 802.11ac routers?
The range and signal strength and evenness across the house with these blow standard routers out of the water. I have 3 of these in my house and it has transformed my place. BT home hubs and extenders and mesh system etc etc never worked like these do.
These will be decent knowing apple but they'll be no better than any of the better Netgear / Linksys offerings. My problem is that they'll be great so long as all your kit is Apple.

Can second that. Have three around my house as well. Get the same wireless speed all over the property! Cannot rate them high enough!
Or buy a decent netgear router for 1/3 price.

For some, decent isn't good enough. AirPort Extreme has to be used to know how fantastic it is, truly remarkable.

You are 100% right! Therefore this is a COLD deal.
I’ve got the time capsule - had it for about 3 years and it’s a decent access point (not using it as a router).

But it’s broken and been replaced by Apple 3 times, all 3 times Wi-fi broke - lucky I bought it at the same time as apple care on my Mac (so it’s covered).

£150 could buy a better AP/router, especially as Apple have pretty much discontinued these.
