The joke about small dogs? Silent Sh?
Just be aware that these may contain batteries up to 6 years old that will be exhausted by now, and I doubt they changed the battery in their 'refurb' process.
Which year was it released
Heat for the price however, app support won't last long as it doesn't support iOS 13.

Well saying the Air 2 come out the year later then its reasonable to expect all the models to be at least 6 years old then I can't expect any to be that good.

I think this is the original iPad Air from 2013
according apple this model was released between 2013 and 2014.

It won't necessarily be slow, my ipad mini 2 that came out the same year is used daily and is still fast enough to use but the battery only last a few hours now rather than the initial 10 hours, they're expensive to replace as well as the case is glued together

Good shout - I just upgraded mine because web pages reloaded every time I changed tabs and even rotating the iPad in YouTube didn’t work properly. iPad Air 2 or iPad Pro 10.5 are much better options and with the extra

I have this and it does the same page reloading thing and visibly struggles on apps like Rightmove. The battery is still pretty good though

I’ll be upgrading soon and selling the Air on eBay expecting to get about £50 for it

@chall5 you can get more ££ by selling it to CEX... Hope this helps

thanks but mine is 16GB, CEX offering £84 though - thanks !
Omg they will be well laggy.
It's like buying iPhone 5
Nothing wrong with this one, mine works faster than my Acer tablet (3 years old) and the battery is still good. Bare in mind, my tablet was at least 4 times cheaper than the IPad at the time. I think this is a reasonable price, but I prefer Android.

I got this version on release and still use it today, one of my longest lasting tech purchases. Haven’t had any issues using apps or loading web pages. Don’t notice any slowdown on general use, to be fair it’s been great. For comparison I use an iPhone XS day to day. Battery probably lasts 6-7 hours now.
Its ipad air still being used by millions and no issues at all .
I have this model still going strong overall, struggles on rightmove and sites with tons of images/ads and the battery life is still very good generally its used 4 hours a day still on average and has been since 2013. Personally i wouldnt buy this model now and would rather spend a bit more.
I just brought a iPad Air recently and was very surprised at how responsive it was for its age. It wasn't far off newer devices/laptops/pcs when loading general web pages etc. However if its going to be use for games/heavier usage I'd suggest getting something a bit newer, if your budget can stretch.

If you're looking for something to last a few years, it may be worth investing into a iPad that's still supported from apple, especially for iPadOS (see here for supported devices).

Overall, its still a great tablet for general browsing (if its been looked after).

OOS
Only 1GB RAM in these, one of the reasons Apple is dropping support I believe.

As a random aside, I picked up an iPad 2018 cellular for £99 at cash converters over the weekend
I've got an ipad 2 which still works, so I think this'll be ok lol
Pay the extra £100 and get the 2018 model over this 2013 model.
