Decent deal. 128gb though. That’ll get full very quickly
For the MacBook Air it’s alright brand new but this ‘2017 model’ is basically the 2015 model with the same CPU (bar a small speed bump) so it’s a pretty old bit of kit now. I wouldn’t want to pay this much for it really.

Any idea how much is usable space?

Good question. After the OS, formatting, etc. I guess you’re looking at sub 120. Space will always depend on what you’re going to use it for. I have one of these as a Road machine and can get by with an selective cloud sync via Dropbox.

You’ll have around 110gb free if freshly formatted as OSX takes around 6gb.

128gb is WAAAYYYYA enough for a Mac as the programs are nowhere near as GB hungry as it’s windows counterparts.
Plus you can stick a NVMe in with a £2 adapter like I have , got a 500gb sammy which gives me 1400mbs rear write speeds.

Interesting. Was thinking I could put like a 64GB mini USB stick in for music/movies etc

No it won't! What is it with HUKD and hard disk space? You get what you need! I have a 111gb hard disk as my main drive in my main PC and I could easily get by on it without additional drives. With Spotify, Netflix and cloud storage for photos there isn't any real need to have big storage anymore. If you need more storage, get a machine with a massive hard drive however the average user will not fill this.
Also worth noting that you can get special micro SD card adapter for these for like £8 off Amazon. I put all my media on a 256GB card

It won't for everyday use unless you do something media related (photoshop, deal with high quality photos, etc)

This works very well with MacBook Pro 2015 13". Something similar for the air available on Amazon.

Well, for me 128gb doesn’t even allow a full Dropbox sync. It’s something when my iPhone has twice the space of my laptop. Not a HUKD thing, it’s experience talking. But sure, it depends on how you use it and what kind of user you are.
I've had a 2014 Air with 128gb hd for 4 years ,plenty space for my usage, even have a bootcamp partition with W10 installed.

I'm an IT professional - I provision hard disk space for a living, I think that's enough experience. That's fine if you have that many files but the average user does not keep so many files that a DB sync would fill a 128gb so it's not correct to tell people they'll need more storage than this when they won't.
