HMV is selling samsung galaxy tab wifi/3g for £150.

Move this into the computers section and it could get hot. Amazing build quality.

Refurbished?

Bought one of these from these guys back in July. Next day delivery and device is fully working.

Comes in brown box, not retail.

Device has ICS update waiting when you turn it on and works a treat, bargain at this price tbh.

32gb version! Bargain.

Will this be cheaper before Christmas? Eye on a gift.

I think this deal is better value for money, it is new and comes with a keyboard dock for an extra 50 quid.

Would be if you needed the dock and they actually had any.
My missus has one with the dock already so I'm actually after a standalone. These are very well built - I took hers into work and the ifags were even impressed saying build wise it was as good, so a refurb is not really a problem as long as it is in good nick (described on the consumer electricals site as excellent). I contacted them and the warranty is a full 12 months. I'm sold. Cheers OP.

Ah, I didn't see that they didn't have any in stock or some "call for price" BS. Still going to hold out though, there will be plenty more deals before Christmas.

mine as come today and as dock with it .
dont know if im lucky or it just does come with it but made me verry happy for £179

Mine was also with Dock however the power adapter was a Euro spec one. 2 pin. Will email the seller and request another. Absolutely lovely tablet. It's a gift so just had a quick play with it to make sure it was working and to update firmware and it is just a really nice thing to use.

A refurb 16gb TF101 with the keyboard dock and a 1 year warranty for £180 is a bargain. Mine is as new with most of the stickers still on it. V happy. I got the euro plug but I am not complaining

Just phoned the sellers on ebay, and they have confirmed that this Asus Transformer comes with a Keyboard Dock. Hope this helps.:D

How do u guyz compare this tablet with others at the same price tag for xample u cant get xoom at this price tag etc..
I m not that knowledgeble in tablets so any comments would be really helpful...

Looking to upgrade my trusty Vega, don't know whether to go for something like this or try to get a Tegra 3 device for a bit more...

received mine the end of last week, awesome tablet, lovely looking and as said by others it does come with a the keyboard/docking station, which i didnt particularly need but it helps with the battery life(also stated by someone else mine is also the american layout, but the manual that came with it was German)
i did get in touch with consumerelectrics as it did state that it was 32gb,and it was actually 16gb,they refunded me 15pounds,which i accepted and bought a 32gb mini sd card. I would definately recommend tho

i got this charger for mine as it as the best reviews and does not melt

what's the warranty like and what is the quality of the refurbs? i want to buy but am a little bit cautious.

Is this tablet any good? How would it compare to those of a similar price? A 10" tablet seems like it might be a bit more practical but just a bit worried ill buy it and then something newer/better comes out at a similar price with a quad core processor. Cant seem to find a screen resolution either, anyone know what it is? And whether you can get Jellybean on it? Thanks

Did anyone not receive a dock?

and what are these like to hold?

I'm looking for a pdf reading device and am very tempted save the fact it's reported to be quite heavy.

Thanks, think I'll hold off for a Jelly Bean tablet.

Had one of these before lovely tab if a bit heavy. For 179 with dock it's a steal. I'll install jellybean on it and use it for Tain journeys as my wife has all but stolen my iPad.

Would love the prime to fall in price, still waiting. But like I say for 179 is a no brainier. You'll easy get your money back on eBay if you dont like it anyways!!!

?? not sure why, ICS is now available for this, and JB is almost no different to ICS

if you want the keyboard then this is a super deal, if you want a smaller lighter tablet, Xoom 2 media edition is same price , has ICS also , and is a lot lighter easier to hold with one hand etc , the xoom 2 has better build, more solid , alloy back etc both have great displays, xoom 2 possibly a touch better even,

I have both this and xoom 2 ME, if u want keyboard and larger screen get this

if u want lighter, more portable device get xoom 2 ME , both have ICS , both very fast, motorola has excellent build, cant fault it, and screen has higher DPI and is superb,

the asus is much bigger, more a home computer really, hence why I have the 2 , each have their own purposes, BTW I feel that these 2 tablets are the best in quality / price, tested nexus and liked it super fast speed, but screen just a liitle too small, xoom 2 ME is 8.2" and that makes a big difference, the screen is after all what you will be looking at, so if its too small the rest of the tablets features wont make up for it

unless u want an ipad, then these 2 tabs are as good as it gets really,

I use PDF a lot, and there is a free PDF reader that allows for inverted colours , so white text on black , which makes a huge difference, u dont get bombarded with white light from the background, so no more strained eyes

ICS also has this option for browser, honeycombe doesnt

both this and xoom 2 ME now have ICS as downloadable updates

ideally the best PDF reader will have a colour e-ink display, or AMOLED , both of which are very very expensive for larger displays

Jelly Bean has project butter, making it a very very smooth OS

amazing bit of kit..have had mine for a year now and still going strong (i dropped it yesterday on a hard kitchen floor, nothing happened to it!) I would def' recommend it based on price/build and warranty.:)

Jelly bean roll out has been confirmed for this, due late October i think.

Can anyone explain the difference, if any, between the model number (TF101-1B174A) of the deal in this thread, compared to the other Expansys Asus deal which has Model No. TF101-1B028A?
Thanks.

I emailed the vendor re the warranty as it is a bit hazy in the description. They said it is a full 12 months warranty, and I have the email in my ebay account

Dear xx,

The Warranty that is inclusivein the priceis12 months from the date ofpurchase. Should anything be wrong with the unit, you justneed to comebackto us and we will either repair, replace or refund you oncewe have seen the item.

Everything should beincluded in theboxthatyou would expect to get with thisitem to make itwork.

Kind regards, Kirsty

With the dock worth the £179, with out, no thanks.

A previous poster phoned the vendor and they said they all have the dock. Might be worth giving them a ring yourself though.

Is this the transformer with gps issues?
