This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

* * Back in Stock (with the processor correctly listed this time it seems). * *

Good price for a BASIC desktop (watching video / streams / Office / Internet) after you stick a cheap SSD in there.

Previous price showing as 59.99 so a decent saving it would appear.

It's an USFF so no prospect of addons such as video cards afaik.

Some people have had issues with Itzoo customer service but others are very happy with them (me included) so it's up to the individual.

Hope it helps someone

Wow. This thing is all over the place:

- i3 3.0Ghz
- Pentium G2030 3.0GHz

And the mention of:

- Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen

Let's not forget this image:

It's neither, it's a cheaper less powerful dual core processor

Fantastic machines for Rocksmith and Moonlight
Suitable for a Plex server when coupled with external storage?

Or better yet just stick an internal drive in?

Depends if you pay your own electricity bill or not

.
Best to assume it's a Pentium G2030 3.0GHz cpu in it.
If it's an i3 or i5 (doubtful) then it's a bonus.
Nice little machine... ive got one.... stuck in an SSD, extra RAM... does the job i need!! Im keeping my eye out for a cheap graphics card and then it'll be sweet!

The Xeon thing is the chipset marker, but it's not clear if it is an i3 2nd gen or G2030, personally I'd expect the Pentium G2030. At least upgrades are cheap as anything - CeX have lots on offer. I agree, certainly not their finest listing though!

Really nice little USFFs though, great for hiding away and you can bump up the drive, RAM and CPU easily. Unlike other USFFs, the PSU is internal (no honking great power brick like the HPs).

We use the USFF of this and other Optiplex models. They're great reliable machines. We've had the odd power supply fail.

But, these have NO expansion slots, you can't add a graphics card!

I like the fact its a small case but have the components to upgrade anyway from spares I keep from upgrading friends PCs

I am just curious to where the graphics card would go in this? I know with the SFF you can make them fit with the low profile brackets - this machine seems very snug!

Fair, £45 for a case and MOBO is decent enough even if you're swapping out pretty much everything else!
Windows 10 included, surely this is the real star of the deal.

I don't think you can, it will just use on board graphics or if the processor has graphics built in.
Also looking at the specs It doesn't include a optical drive, looks like it just takes a laptop dvd drive though
Recently bought one of these.

Wondering if the Dell in this deal is a similar spec for half the price.

Keep in mind if upgrading RAM

The hard disk chassis sits in just above RAM slots on some models of SFF Optiplexes. I recommend buying some of those super low profile Kingston memory sticks or similar.

Whoops miss the U bit!! I have a SFF!!
Can’t understand the heat I’m afraid, for a machine that could be three different things. ITZoo have had some good deals and I’ve bought from them in the past with no issues (other than their imbecile courier, UPS, leaving a laptop out in the rain, in full view of the road, with not so much as a note through the door.)

This is not one of those stonking deals however - the price is about what I’d pay (and have paid several years ago) for a 4th gen i3 (although we have no indication what generation this would be, if it is an i3), but poor value IMHO if it turns out to be a Pentium.
A lot of these little machines for businesses do indeed come with a plethora of different CPUs. Often they're lower spec than standard as corporate bean counters negotiate to buy like a thousand of them and end up in a deal with the manufacturer to put in a lower class CPU to bring the price down.

I got a similar (but smaller) Lenovo off eBay which is arriving soon with a Pentium G3240 in it - it's almost universally an i5 normally. Mine's just for emulation though, so unless I start trying to do PS2 or something then I'll probably leave it. Way better value than any of those "playstation classic" and similar boxes you get.

That one in the link has more memory 8gb v 4gb and a ssd.

The cpu comparison is here
Always amazed there isn't a larger market for second hand PCs, bearing in mind that with minimal upgrades you can have a modern spec machine for a fraction of the cost. If a supplier started offering three year warranties (with extra margin) they could clean up.

In the end except to my employer (the NHS tends to keep PCs until they die) even this spec is overkill for the 90% of their employees who just want to run MS Office and go on Facebook.
I'm glad there isn't, it keeps the prices lower for those of us with more sense than money, rather than the other way around

I am pretty sure that this can't provide enough power for 3470k and even if it can do it than super small cpu cooler won't cope with all that heat
