Part of the daily grind
How does it compare to ETAM29.510 ? I recently bought the latter but looking for another one when I move out from my parents.

Would coffee be simillar? I just drink straight doppio + nothing fancy.

Coffee Beans?
What does refurbished mean exactly? Is it an item that has previously been used and damaged but has been repaired? Is it still worth buying?

Who knows for sure but I suspect it will be as close to new as possible due to coming from the manufacturer.

The black nozzle on the right hand side is the milk frother.

Good question. This is the clincher for me too.
I see there is a similar model, ESAM4000.B, available in black, for the same price, anyone have any idea if it's as good? Black is a bit more neutral for the kitchen lol.
Great deal £300 on amazon and rarely touches 200...be good to hear experience of refurbs

I have a ETAM29.510 that was a refurb... no complaints. They come with warranty so nothing to worry about.

Mine wasn't from Delonghi though and you could tell that there were some marks on the drain tray.

As someone said, go for black...

Why black?

Why black?

My mate has silver one and to be fair black one looks much better and is far more neutral.
Got the black one a few years ago (maybe 5) in a Sainsburys sale for £105, this has to be the cheapest i've seen it since, makes daily espresso and has never skipped a beat. If it failed today i'd replace with the exact same model.
I was also on the fence over this, I've been after a bean to cup for both eco reasons and after a decent coffee. I've looked at loads of models over the past year, compared this one to the Sage Express entry level one but for an additional almost £300 against Sage and an extra £250 against the other delonghi model I was in indecision over, this seems to be well worth it. Over 2000+ reviews on amazon alone which seems to blow others models out of the water. This seems to do everything you would need to begin your bean to cup journey and offers a good output capacity so you can have anything up to an Americano too.
I've finally, finally bought my bean to cup machine. Hurrah!! Thanks op

Oos
I took the bite and purchased this. Thank you.
I had a similar machine direct from Delonghi on eBay. It was basically a brand spanking new machine complete with protective film, but in a shabby cardboard box. Couldn’t be happier with the machine. Great coffee.

I buy Cafe Crema coffee from Tchibo. It’s great value and amazing tasting — think Viennese coffee house, rich, nutty, smooth, no bitterness. And it’s on special right now (gutted as I just bought a six pack at normal price). shop.tchibo-coffee.co.uk/collections/coffee/products/caffe-crema-1kg

Was jus about to buy but now OOS. Looks like gonna have to have another spoon of nescafe for the time being
What’s the difference between this and the ECAM 22.320.SB for £184?
Got there just in time. There were just 3 left when I bit the bullet. Just 2 minutes later, they were all gone. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to replacing my old Nespresso.

Mines 7, older than all 3 of my kids. It’s part of the family
So what coffee beans does everyone recommend? First time I’ve gone for a bean to cup machine.
Tried quite a few, but love Extract coffee roasters. Free delivery. Always seem to go for Ethiopian. They do a lovely one called Hama Espresso. £7.95. I know it's a bit more money than your usual Lavazza etc. But it's freshly roasted and the taste is amazing.
Would like some more recommendations of roasters if anyone has any.

I'm going for zero waste beans from my local refill store but I've also tried Karuna coffee for a moka pot and that was very nice indeed, I bought the trial pack with 3 different types and you can choose what grind you want or whole beans. And they're am ethical company too
Has anyone else had theirs yet?? Mine arrived yest and is covered in coffee grinds. I think I atleast expected it to be cleaned out??

Just spotted this on the ebay page incase anyone else thinks the same
'Please note, refurbished machines may container beans and/ or loose grounds as a result of testing before resale.'

Mine arrived on Monday, although the unit looked new I still gave it a clean throughout. There were a few black specs of ground coffee but that’s to be expected if it’s already been used/tested.

I’m really pleased with it, like new condition and a bargain £151 price with a full year guarantee to back it up.

Thanks again OP

Unpacked mine today. Mines also stinking and covered in coffee on the outside and inside. Looks like it's been there a while too. Clearly states that it should be professionally cleaned. Prob will send it back

It does but I also spotted it says it gets tested so there will be grinds inside all refurbs. Mine was without a box but other than that, I could see no faults or flaws and the coffee it makes is the best I've ever made at home
