Same. Went for the 4200 instead with damaged box.
I've got this one - good little machine - a bargain at this price

What is the difference with this one?
Bought this new from Currys last night for £349. Still a very good price. Although I do find the selection dial frustrating and temperamental
Great price

I believe this is a refurb rather than just damaged box. This one has more features like the auto milk frother bit but I felt like that's just another bit to have to clean or go wrong so went for the 4200.

It is easy to clean. You can put on the top dishwasher tray.

Thank you for your helpful reply.
FYI, Ecam line has a thermo block which allows you to adjust the temp of the coffee. Esam line does not
Hi can anyone guide if this is better than Corso Esam 2800? How do these two models compare? Thanking you in advance.

Been tracking for ages, thanks NeoTrix
Just a warning I bought a refurbished De’longhi on eBay a few months back. It arrived and didn’t work (if was a gift so it wasn’t tried out for at least a month after delivery) so it had to be collected for repair. It needed a part replaced and descaling... Then when it was delivered back to me, the side panel was damaged so it had to go back again. I finally got a new one sent but I probably wouldn’t risk it again and defiantly not if it was a gift. Also the one I received was just on a plain box, not original packaging

You can adjust the temp on the ESAMs albeit not particularly easily.
Interesting, I didn't see any mention in the manual. It just spoke of running some cycle first to preheat things

Fair do's. Maybe I should have gone for that one then! Cheers.

Yep, under the section cunningly titled 'Setting the temperature' It is meant to be a set and forget function and to be fair I have seen a version of the manual without it which is a bit rubbish given the default is lower than it should be.

Think you'll also find they're all thermobiocks, or at least claim to be, if I remember rightly, it's only very high end espresso makers that have proper boilers.

Can you confirm which esam model you're referring to? The 4200 doesn't have a setting the temperature section, just 'tips for a hotter coffee's

The ecam models do have that setting the temperature section for sure.

Think I found that previously too, some manuals do mention it, some don't. Check out the downloadable ones for the 2600, page 15.
