From what I can see it's over 200 quid cheaper than anywhere else on the market. Great deal! I'm looking for the range below standard 3 / spark as can't justify more cost on one but I'm sure some will find this useful link

I’ve been used this drone for one day now, I’d say is the best drone on the market, except it got destroyed due to I hit a wall

Refurbished, probably crashed. Maybe one to avoid
I picked one up from scan last week. Can't see any scratches or anything on it. No problems with how it flies.

These are official Refurb units from DJI, everyone that has had one say they look brand new.
Lol no.
Drones4less has this for £759 and free delivery if you're after just the drone. I would pay this rather than save a tenner on a refurb.

Fair point
Believe Drones for Less are American imports so be aware of potential VAT issues should HMRC ping the delivery so potentially £911 from them.
Even if there aren't any charges, there are warranty issues. Would have to ship to the US for repairs.

Not everyone. I picked up (and returned as it was not compatible with Android on my phone) a refurb from Jessops: it had scratches on it suggesting a crash landing.
The odds of crashing is very high, so I wouldn't worry about a few scratches. Take out the replacement cover straight after you buy it. I've already crashed mine but not seriously enough to need a repair.

Are you male? Do you ever stop and ask anyone for directions? Do you build things without the instructions?. Relish in your confidence and you'll be fine. It's like riding a bike....
Love mine. a couple of batteries and it keeps me busy for an hour or so.Great fun.

Sadly I not good with directions, flat packs etc , very much like the view from drone camera, but I am sure I would just crash it right away.

Yup, me too. Flew into a tree. Parts are cheap from China though but the 2 month wait is a bummer.

cant wait to get mines, just need to decide what one to get / waiting for a cheap deal on spark or the old models
Mavic over the Spark any day.
My best purchase in quite a few years.

Great fun and so easy to fly.

I know us guys don't like reading manuals but you really should read this one.

It will basically fly itself but there are a lot of things you need to know to avoid a crash due to its autonomous side.

Few examples and tips.

Obstacle avoidance does not work in sport mode so will not try and stop before you hit that fence or tree.

If you are flying under cover of trees or anything else you need to set to hover instead of return to home. If the remote disconnects or you hit low battery your drone is going straight up into what ever is above it.

Always fly into the wind and return with the tailwind. Flying too far out and trying to return into high wind and there is a chance your drones not coming back.

If your having trouble overcoming wind on way back or during RTH, hit the sports mode switch. It cancels RTH and doubles speed allowing you to overcome the wind and fly back.

Read about RTH and how it functions at different distances. Set your RTh height on every flight, high enough to clear anything in the area but no too high it exposes it to unnecessary wind speed.

Read the manual and you can't go wrong.

CRASH thats not allowed on the Mavic. Does the collision avoidance system not function that well on these then?

Had marks on the plastic and was labelled ‘B Grade’ when I collected it. Had a fault that wouldn’t go away. For me, I’d spend the extra, get brand new, get a warranty, know it’s history and get Refresh. Cold from me. Sorry.

Buy one of the brand new Alpine Mavics they are selling on eBay for £800-£850 as they include 3 batteries. Best value for money.

Only downside is you have to open it and put an sdcard in it if you want to swap to FCC settings for the 4 mile range.
I want one of these. At the moment I'm flying a Bebop and really like it. Didn't want to shell out a grand if it was going in the closet. I know now that it won't. Whats the best price we can get this with an extra battery from the UK new?
Bought thanks, came well packaged, as new condition and a guarantee through DJI. Didn't want to pay a grand plus for something I might prang!
