Hey @Mrswitch

I'm looking for a cheap phone that i can buy in UK.

Ideal minimum spec: 3gb/32gb, 3500mAh+ battery, dual sim if possible but not essential, 5"-5.2" screen

Any pointers?

New/used?
I recently purchased a pristine condition phone from them, the screen and back were clean but the bezel has scuffs and dents. It was grade B or C listed as grade A ++

Ideally new, must have a warranty, happy to use cash back/02 refresh tricks. Never paid more than £120 for a phone. And don't intend do

Hmmm.... You ain't making this easy, there's plenty of refurbished but not many new I can pinpoint.. Unless you wanna go expensive like the p10? Moto x4?

Who said getting things cheap was easy?
I bought two 'pristine' unlocked ones from eBay in the 20% event, both had significant scratches, one was a year old, the other had Three splash screens.
Then I requested a return via eBay, was completely ignored by the seller after multiple messages, had to escalate via eBay in order to get a return label, returned the item, several days after it was delivered they still hadn't refunded me, had to ask eBay to step in again, finally got my £750odd back, today.
Shocking company, I wouldn't go near them again, especially without eBay / PayPal backing.

Their grading system is shocking

Definitely taking gamble when ordering a phone from these, very disheartening when they send you a phone with dents all over it and big scratches on the screen that was supposed to be refurbished.
Hmm bought an iphone se for the girlfriend 1 year ago and the phone was pristine.
Mrswitch, any tricks/o2 refresh for the galaxy note 8? Alternatively, I'm looking at the Samsung Note FE, any pointers?

Don't bother with the FE, they are far too expensive, for what is basically a last gen phone. (note 7 anyone?)

You can get a good refurb note 8 for under £500 on ebay if you pick well, but there are literally no 'deals' out there currently for this phone, which is ridiculous when you look at the deals there have been on the Pixel 2's etc.

I had a note 8 wry recently which was basically brand new from music magpie, it was described as very good.
But obviously if you are demanding new, then you're gonna have to pay through the nose for it I'm afraid.

Sorry I can't help more
(FYI note fe are around the same price as the note 8 on ebay)
Cold sorry, good condition to music magpie is very poor in my experience.

Thanks for taking out the time to reply...

I know what you're saying, but I just don't like the size of the note 8 (tad tall for my liking), hence going for the FE. I'm not fussed if a phone is note brand new, as long as it's pristine/excellent condition. The only thing is, FE don't come with UK/EU warranty far as I'm aware, but the note 8 would be covered by that. Overall, it's the footprint and design of the FE that I prefer.

Not fussed about the processing power, that only makes the slightest of difference. But I suppose for a similar price, its something I got to weigh up.

Note 5 would've been perfect, had it of had an SD card slot!

The search continues...

Does it HAVE to be a Samsung and in particular a note?
Have you thought about the s8, or s8 plus?
Huawei Mate 10 Pro?
Honor view 10?
Pixel 2 xl?

All great phones.
You can get some great deals on the above phones, even the p20 pro etc.
Just none currently for the notes you mention.
The FE is £470 on ebay with no warranty, and from a foreign seller.
The note 8 is around about the same price, but that's for a refurb.
Its gotta be a note, unfortunately. I heavily use the S pen.

£470 is from Ireland... Says it comes with 12 months warranty. So not your standard walk in to a Samsung store warranty.
