Branded 4K TV for under £250!

Is Hisense in the same league as the big players now like LG Panasonic etc? I thought it was a cheapy budget brand?
I hear good things about hisense TVs but not sure how long they last for. Deffo get a long warranty deal.

To me, supermarket TVs, JVC, etc are the bottom of the barrel. And Sony, LG, Samsung & some Panasonic's at the top.

No problems with Hisense. Somewhere inbetween the 2. They aren't super market TVs. Not UMC or Vestel. And have decent warranties.

I had H50N6800UK. Could not complain about picture quality or TV functions. Smart functions somehow limited, not too many apps, some just didn't work. So was Miracast. Unfortunately after 18 months backlight started to be patchy. Luckily it had 2yr warranty, Hisense representative concluded it cannot be repaired and refunded. Now using higher LG model and everything just works. It's more expensive thought.

This price is crazy, just carefully check backlight, especially after few months. Best visible when connecting to PC displaying single-coloured area.
Just beginning to look at TVs after a few years. Do I basically have to accept that they all with be tracking my viewing 6 ways from Sunday, or are some manufacturers better than others?

Sorry, there was a typo in there, but the gist of the question is intact. I’m looking more into it at the moment, but a lot (if not all) of these Smart TVs track your activity on the TV and sell that information on to 3rd parties.

@Believe_Me posted a video about it in the comment below yours.

A lot of folk would have no problem with that, in which case enjoy those cheap tellies!

Personally, I’d like to understand the issue a little more before making a choice.

Be my guest! You've already done the hard work to create the post, so a copy and paste to a new post and you're there.

If you're worried then don't connect to the internet. But realistically we're part of a digital age. If you avoid entering personal details then you should be fine however. I personally use my console for streaming video/casting etc so TV isn't online at all now
