A1 Refurbished Explained...

A1 Laptops are open boxed units which have been returned usually due to being unwanted. The units may have at very worst case, very faint minor /non-permanent blemishes. All units then undergo a full 25-point inspection by our experienced tech team ensuring they are in full working order. Once all the relevant checks have been completed, the units are then securely repacked ready to be resold. Please note, although we can’t guarantee that these units are still in their original boxes with all their original accessories we can confirm that on average 85% of our stock is still in its original packaging.

This entry-level laptop from Hewlett Packard is perfect for all the family when it comes to entertainment, surfing the web and keeping in touch.

An AMD E2 processor and 4Gb RAM can handle all your everyday computing jobs, including surfing the web, keeping up with Facebook and Instagram, enjoy your digital photos, helping the kids with their homework and emailing.

The 15.6 inch HD screen (1366x768) is supported by built-in speakers, bringing all your web surfing and entertainment to life with rich, detailed images and superb audio.

A large 1Tb (1000Gb) hard drive gives you storage space for up to 280,000 digital photos, 250,000 songs, 440 hours of DVD standard video or 120 hours of HD video. The HD webcam is also ideal for video chats.

Windows 10 gives you a personalised experience with fast access to the people, apps and sites that matter most. A textured fingerprint-proof cover looks good wherever you go, while the extended battery life gives you a full day on the go.

AMD E2 9000e processor is crXp - COLD...
Worth 130£
That processor lol. And people complain about Celerons (which are actually fine).
These are pretty crappy (especially refurbished). If you are willing to buy refurbished, you can get ex-corporate machines for the same price. Possibly Grade A, almost certainly with a 3rd generation i5 (pretty old processor, but pisses all over this) and very similar spec, perhaps even SSD rather than a HD, if you're willing to give up some storage space.

Thinkpads are a good bet (T430, X230, hell, you can get some of the older X1's for this price on ebay). The build quality and speed will be far better than these.

To be honest, I wouldn't pay that much new for one of these (not because you can find cheaper elsewhere for this model new, but simply because they're not worth it! If you're using it for anything other than light browsing you'll be disappointed.. and if you're using it for light browsing, buy a tablet instead!).

Yeah that would be my suggestion as well.

I’m not even slightly exaggerating when I say an AMD E-series CPU and a mechanical hard disk, you might as well not even bother. At least Intel Atoms and Celerons tend to be paired with eMMC which has low latency.

Of course, not everyone wants ex-lease or used but even then, please don’t buy this computer - it will put you off PCs for life
