Refurbished HP Slate 7" 2800 Tablet with Beats Audio - 7DAYSHOP - £44.98 Delivered

Found 28th Oct 2014
We all know this isn't the best tablet in the world, but at £42.99, I'm not sure 90% of the planet wouldn't be delighted to get this for Christmas.

(If my 7-yr old is worried about the label, then something is seriously wrong!!!!!)

Enjoy (or rather let the debate about RAM, SPEED, Pixels, Battery Power, Non Ipad etc etc begin!)

REMEMBER - THIS is £43, for a decent brand name and not £200!!!!

From the link:

Grade A tablets are in excellent condition with few to no marks, this item has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer-approved vendor. This means the product has been inspected, cleaned and repaired to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition.

For peace of mind this tablet comes with a 6 month Warranty

It means the speakers go 1% louder than normal speakers! i.e. marketing rubbish!

Good luck with the battery...mine only lasted JUST over a year...HP wouldnt repair without charging....

That's not a bad price at all. What sort of warranty do you get with it?

That's pretty impressive, my Nexus 7 barely lasts 8 Hrs!

HP wouldnt charge without repairing eh?

Respectable specs given the price!

it states 6 months on website.

Was crap when released, and due to the lack of support it will always remain crap. Cheap, yes - but hardly worthwhile.

Good price for refurbish,

surely they should'nt charge for recharging first.

(My 7-yr old for starters will think I've spent a fortune on him!!!)

Is that all that matters to 7 year nowadays ... :(:(

Not a bad tablet for basics and reasonable price. Warm.

It's not about being louder it's clarity

I'm looking for something for the kids to watch movies on in the car - nothing else. I already have some headrest mounts these will go into. Does anyone think these wouldn't be suitable for that purpose? they are cheaper than dvd players. battery life isn't a concern as they will be plugged in, my main concerns would be is the screen bright enough and is it capable of decoding various video formats ie. cpu capable. what do people think?

Beats unable to change the laws of physics. Will still sound crap. Speaker is tiny.

It's not about being louder it's clarity

its neither its just a equalizer to boost bass levels and gimps the audio if turned off

Does anyone know of any deals or just general availabilityfor the 3G version of this tablet that comes with 2 years free 3G access? I bought one from Sainsburys a few months ago and really wished I'd grabbed another one :-(

Correct; it's a terrible tablet.

Get a Hudl1 instead for not much more.

If I just wanted to do stuff like Twitter or similar on this would it be ok for that? Or is it REALLY that bad a tablet? I've watched the comments about this tablet on HUKD and it's always been slapped down IMO. But at £45...

Does it have GPS? Doesn't mention it in the specs.

From the reviews I've read, it didn't compare well to other tablets in that price range because it was up against Kindle/Nexus etc for not much more. But at this price it seems much more appealing if you don't have high expectations. It would be good if those people slating it qualified this by explaining what they didn't like about it and perhaps suggested a better alternative at a similar price and where to buy it. I'd be interested in seeing other options myself.

what's wrong with it? android 4.1, dual core 1.4. 1gb ram, 1024x600. fine for a budget. and £45 is sod all.

Hudl is much better than this.

USB connector got knocked by one of the children and only option was to dispatch to tablet grave yard.

I don't but I think I read somewhere that the 2 years had been increased to lifetime...I'll try and find it.

Awesome. Just point me to where you saw it reconditioned for £45. Thanks.

Ta.

I agree, criticising it at the original price and comparing it to a Nexus etc is one thing, but for low basic use...it might be a winner, at £45 it seems it to me.

A no name quad core 1gb ram is still 50-60 notes, this really shouldn't be that bad,

The screen is horrible to look at and hopelessly unresponsive. Mine took forever to charge then went flat ridiculously quickly. No amount of discounting is going to make it worth the money in my opinion.

Bunch of idiots on here thinking they know everything about technology! This is £45 and for the price you aren't going to find anything better FOR THE PRICE! it's a good spec tablet, defo will do the kids (if you aren't a stuck up parent and have to buy your child an iPad) and most of all frees up money to buy more items. It's called living on a budget which is why most of us come on here (btw I have a job so no stupid comments)

Timefortea (sorry can't seem to quote from the app)....you should be fine using this as a media player. I've got a 2 year old no name Chinese tablet and it's fine for that purpose. Just download vlc player and/or mq player and it should cope with any video files you throw at it.

Oh, should have said, I can't comment on the quality of the actual tablet though

Sold out now... Argos eBay refurbished here for £54.99 ebay.co.uk/itm…1c7
