Thinnest? Beautiful? Maybe but I'm not impressed with HP build quality. I have just binned my sons laptop. Broken hinges and cracked mounts internally where the screws go into metal nuts in plastic mounts.

Have gone back to Dell who I have bought from for 20 odd years and never had the same problem. I have a 6 and 5 year old laptop that are still perfectly good after adding SSDs.
And how much did you pay for that HP laptop? I'll wager it was a cheap one. You can't compare a bottom of the range design to one of these.

Like how they named it Spectre
Why is this expired, still looks available to me? TBH I've just brought the new HP Envy 13 from JL for £729.95, brand new with 8th gen i5, lovely small bezels and 8gb ram. Admittedly only 128gb SSD but have a spare 256gb one I'm going to swap over.

I’m after this Envy 13 too but some reviews seem to state there’s no way to connect it to an external monitor since the USBC doesn’t support HDMI.

If you look on the HP website at the Envy 13 and then look at accessories for it, it definitely show a USB-C hub with USB-C, USB-A and HDMI out. Haven't tried it but am considering getting it.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Maybe the reviews are referring to trying to do it through a dongle etc instead of a proper hub. It’s the only thing putting me off getting an envy 13 at the moment. I’m also waiting to see what the new HP envy X2 is going to be like which should be released soon.

That's the one with the Snapdragon CPU in same as a number of mobile phones? Looks good if you need a mobile device but I only use my device at home so prefer a 'proper' laptop.

Yeah apparently they’ll be a version with snapdragon and also an intel version. I was hoping it would be a valid surface pro replacement. I use an iPad Pro permanently at the moment but work have just shifted to using Microsoft groups and the iOS experience for it is dreadful.
Doing some research on this it sounds like the cable needs to support 'DP Alt Mode' for it to work. I'll probably try ordering one from Amazon and it if doesn't work send it back. The HP USB hub is a bit pricey at £45.
