I've spotted lots of refurbished Ipads on apple website, usually there's just a few or none.
I got the 2017 model for £239, good price if you consider it's like you're buying a brand new item as it's refurbished by apple with 1 year warranty

2017 models are most likely new stock they are clearing out.
32gb 2017 iPad here is £239.
Can get a 2018 model from eglobal for a tenner more if you want that Pencil support, faster chipset, another year of support with iOS updates etc.

Main gripe with eGlobal seems to be aftersales support. If you buy an iPad your after sales is with Apple anyway, so no need to ever deal with eGlobal again.
Just giving people options.
Pay with PayPal and/or Credit Card and you're covered if nothing arrives.

Pay for it with a credit card and you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

If it comes then it's covered by Apple.
£239 for 2017 is certainly a great price, but for students with Unidays code they can get the 2018 model for £303. Obviously significantly more, but the advantages for new products from Apple are (i) a minimum of 2 years warranty (EU consumer protection regs) and potentially 6 years cover under Consumer Rights Act. Apple are the easiest retailers to deal with for the 6 years CRA protection. They are hassle free so long as you mention you want a repair/replacement under consumer laws (CRA).

Voted Hot by the way as I can recognise a good deal when I see one even if I would prefer an alternative deal.

Definetly worth checking out. Prices are very good and you can get it insured as it is refurbished by the manufcturer.
£179 price is for iPad mini 2 16GB
If only there are people in the UK doing a NAND memory upgrade. Would be worth getting an ipad on the cheap and upgrading its memory
Thanks OP

While they do have some bad reviews they also have happy customer on here.

And you can’t trust review sites people only use them when they have an issue and eglobal have a better score than our favourite John Lewis so what does that say.

+1 here that eglobal are rubbish, however with just apple stuff you need not worry too much once you have it in your hands. Any other item don't bother!

I won't buy anything from eglobal as many people complained of getting used/broken items and then the problems start when you have to send it back for refund as you have to cover the cost to send a parcel to china and their customer service is rubbish.
I understand there are happy customers but I personally won't risk it.
I don't need to use the ipad pencil (which is bloody expensive btw...) so i'm quite happy of spending £239 for the 2017 model

Oh, for sure, if you don't want the pencil, Apple is definitely the best bet.

Also the viewing angles on the 2018 are poor due to the additional layer required to get the pencil working.
Nice, people forget about the refurbishments ones on apple, I always upgrade my my Apple kit every couple of years via this, plus you can take out Apple care on them if you want to as well...
Got the 2017 ipad from eglobal the other day for £220. took a week to arrive, so cant grumble. Got ipad mini 4 at same time but thats not arrived yet

you are mistaken.
Apple products has worldwide warranty, regardless of where they are bought.
it's that simple.

Ipads definitely have global warranty.

all apple products not just iPads.
it's the way Apple warranty works, always been like this.
tried and tested many, many times during past 10 years and recently.
Have bought refurbished via Apple a few times - just like new with the same warranty, but cheaper. Good find.
Ordered a iPad mini 4! Thanks OP!
ipad mini 2 after update on IOS 11, is slow ! Don't update

Here we go again. Like someone has said before. People will only leave reviews on the likes of trustpilot when they've had a bad experience. I've now bought 3 high priced goods from eglobal and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Stop the fear mongering.

Well there are also good reviews in there to be honest...

Eglobal is selling the ipad 2017 for £215 plus 6.48 delivery for a total of £221
Apple is selling the same refurbished Ipad for £239 free delivery.
Now unless you want to save £18 and take a risk with Eglobal I think is obvious what the logical choice is?

Such a simple thing to do in Shenzhen, just walk into a mall and a tech will remove your 16GB NAND chip from your iDevice, copy it and transfer everything onto up to to a 512GB blank using perfect reballing technique at a state of the art soldering station while you wait. .

Try finding that kind of service here. I laugh when I see comments about 'crappy Chinese tech' on these forums.

Here's a guy learning how to do it himself with support from the Shenzhen markets:

And apparently the first iPhone 8 with the 512GB upgrade:

Don’t think that’s the point it’s the 2017 v 2018, the 2018 has a better chip, it will most likely get iOS updates for longer. For a tenner difference as someone posted it’s worth the tenner just for that.

Sorry but you are wrong, for £221 you get the 2017 ipad from eglobal: eglobalcentraluk.com/app…wcB

the 2018 version is much more.

Plus I don't think there's much difference in performance unless you want to play 3d games.
My Ipad 1 has been updated until last year, after 10 years lol, I don't think they will stop the updates for the 2017 for loong time

Have you posted the deal when you got your Ipad from Argos? I guess not lol
I'm trying to help people save some money and stick with a safe retailer, that's it.
If you scroll down the list you will see that since yesterday they have loaded lots of refurbished Ipads, not just the ipad mini 2...
Usually the apple refurbished page is always empty or items are out of stock!
I don't know why I'm wasting my time sometime...

£30 is not a lot more for the extra years you willget. Don’t know how you managed to get an Ipad 1 to be updated for so long iOS 5 was stopped supporting in after 2012 even the iPad 2 and 3 stopped in 2016 and that made those devices so slow you couldn’t even surf on them.
