Not a bad price albeit a Grade C but I'm sure they're perfectly functional if you're not fussed with aesthetics.

These superb LENOVO ThinkPad X230 machines have a Intel Core i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz processor and can be configured with a minimum of 4GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive.

Each PC comes with Windows 10 pre-installed, along with a recovery partition so that if your computer should ever start running slowly, you can restore it back to how it left our facility.

Your computer comes with a 90 Day Return to Base Warranty, so in the unlikely event that a fault occurs within your first three months, we will collect your machine from you, repair/replace any faulty components and return the device back to you at no extra cost. Conditions Apply.

This is a grade C device. The device is still in clean and tidy condition but has signs of use. Some small scratches and/or dents to the casing are permitted but nothing that affects function of the machine. No damage to the screen and no faults with any of the system hardware.

Thanks OP. What kind of machine would this be for using for Word and e learning type packages for college work?
B A R G A I N!

Stuff a £14-£19 SSD in it, from when one of the cheap 120gb drives come up and you have a flyer!

It would perfect for general use mate. A third gen i5 will be ample for YouTube and Netflix. I think the keyboard on this is pretty awesome.

Like I said earlier, this won’t look perfect but will do the job 🏼

Solid state drive
£81 with code heat
Thanks! What’s one of those? 😳

It's a much faster version of an internal hard drive - totally electronic, no moving parts.
A bit like an SD card but with hard drive (SATA) style connections.

This is a ZERO sorry's, for asking website!!

I would be the same, if you asked me who the current Prime Minister is of the UK haybr!!

Here you go, if you pop windows onto a solid state drive, it will allow a very old or older spec PC or Laptop, to spin up and be used much faster with your softwares, than an older style drive

Does this have a back-lit keyboard?
I've seen on a work colleagues same machine
Anyone bought from this company before

Curses, impulse buying isn't moneysaving.... :-)
Thanks OP, just what I was after. Heat added
Great machines, only two issues with them is the TF screen and trackpad aren't great, but i only use the trackpoint. Apart from that solid machines and well worth the price. Picked one up at christmas for this price but was immaculate from an ebay seller/refurbisher.

Just got an X250 and it's not much faster and the keyboard on the x230 might be nicer, just nicer screen and trackpad.
Appears there is no Bluetooth or wireless and 12.5" screen diagonal is not much difference from a tablet. You could get a new 10" tablet from China for under this, with WiFi and Bluetooth and touch screen, and sim slot.
Is that right no wifi?
Surely it has WiFi?

There should be wifi. These laptops came with wifi.
Regardless different devices have different use cases. If I were just consuming media? An android tablet would be better than this laptop since it'd be lighter and have a better display. If I ever needed to type, say for school work, then I'd massively prefer having a physical keyboard to a virtual one.

Can't see why it won't have wifi or bluetooth as it certainly would have had originally. It will also likely have a webcam, fingerprint reader and possibly a backlit keyboard depending on how extravagant the original purchaser was.
Thinkpads are pretty tough things, with casings made of Glass-fiber reinforced plastic, so it won't have dents, and scratches won't usually show too badly. On the other hand, the screen bezel and keyboard surround crack fairly easily, plus keyboards / touchpads are prone to becoming shiny. They're pretty easy to disantle/repair though and secondhand parts are fairly cheap on eBay.

I've got one of these, although a Grade B.
Came with Wifi, and there is a 'airplane' mode switch on the side so you can turn it off.
Not backlit, but does have a light at the top next to the webcam.
Wouldn't really call this a deal, I purchased mine used x230 like 3years ago for 100.
Nowadays for 100 you can get x250 on fleabay..

either way with SSD there is 0% processing difference even when you compare to something like much newer x270
Every day, new Intel security vulnerability. Today they said to turn off all hyperthreading to stay safe. Google already turned off hyperthreading on Chromebooks. These old Intel chips are honeypots for viruses. Cold

I'm very happy with this - even with the cheapest options it's a very nippy laptop. One free tip - mine came with Windows 10 Home installed, but Thinkpads have their original Windows Products Keys in their bios - and because mine originally came with Windows 8 Pro I was able to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free. Comes with bluetooth and wifi.

What's the battery life like on your x230? Mine is dropping 20% in 20 minutes.

I installed Windows 10 Pro from USB and it was already activated. Would have used KMSpico to activate anyway

Thanks for the response. Mine seems to drop even when turned off. Not sure if I should contact the supplier?

I'll have to test it more tonight.
