Just ordered one of these for home, £1399 and I got £15.20 cashback from Greasy Palm. Works out about £300 cheaper than if you ordered one from Apple.

Plus possible quidco if apple are still on there.

@ Apple Uni store

£1400 for a refurbished laptop? Hahaha! Stop it, please!

I don't think you can get quidco on education purchases but not 100% sure. I'm saving up to get an education macbook pro before I graduate in a couple of months!

You can, i have done it

If i buy one, will i start to dress funny..?

You might sprout a funny haircut the following day and start an indie band.

Seriously though if you know somebody at uni best go through them and get the discount as well.

I'd love to know exactly what it is that you can do with this that you could'nt do with, say, a £700 Windows laptop?

Let's not start a windows/apple debate.

I want one purely for iLife. If there was a decent, easy to use program for a PC i'd get one however all the main ones have mixed reviews and depends on spec of PC etc. iLife has what I need and it's easy to use.

Plus I like the minimal design of the apple and it's in one piece so should be durable. Also hate laptop with fans on the bottom as if I leave it on my bed, they tend to overheat and switch off.
