I was in Cash Converters Newark last weekend (looking for GBA games) and they had a pile of these at £50 with power supply and controller, 1 year warranty!

Yes but I said 'Newark'. We do not have the internet. We still look up and point at the shiny metal birds.
Maybe put console only in the title.
davidfwalsh15/11/2019 13:08

You need the Power Brick too no ? for this version.

Yes, you can't just plug this in with a standard figure 8 mains lead like the S or X! I initially voted hot as I wrongly assumed a full set up. Considering the age of the OG Xbox One and the fact due to their bulky size and weight you will probably be looking at well over £10 for a new (or even used) power brick shipped them the controller (£30+) this starts making less and less sense.

Pay the extra for an S, they are probably near to or maybe even under £100 second hand these days and make a tonne more sense, not to mention the fact they can double as a 4K Bluray player, which this one can't....

Just goes to show people will vote hot without even reading the description - need to buy a controller and leads so works out much better to buy a new XB1s with free game
So no wires or controller, a similar deal got posted last time and got stupid heat.

Sorry OP but with no cables this renders an additional charge and you’ll need a controller too.

Decent price if you want to just dive in, play some game pass over the next 12 months alongside your PlayStation.
This isn't a good deal unless your Xbox has been fried......
Not that great without controllers

too much another £30-40 just buy a bundle better spec and not manky second hand.
Xbox
I'm very surprised that Music Magpie are selling a console without controller or even cables which is something that I'd consider essential. When you buy at used console at somwhere like Music Magpie, CEX, GAME, etc it's always been that you get what you need to get you up and playing straight away. I bet that there will be a lot of people disappointed who buy this and not realising or knowing that they need to buy other bits to make it usable.
To think that Microsoft would have had a whole team on huge wages to design that ugly VHS / CD Deck looking box

I have a suspicion it might be due to the power brick being a load of tosh which if it ends up failing then will kill your console from the shortage.

Power brick failed on my first gen but the Xbox 1 S is working fine.
I dint understand why this is getting heat? No controller or cables. Controller is £40+ alone.
Hdmi cable and brick charger will cost another £20. So would set you back £132 in total with no games for a 1st gen xbox with only 500GB HD. Then add to that, this was the ring if death model. Sorry OP cold from me
will pass on this one (sticking with 360)
Looking for a ps4 console only at this price.
Found a way to show everything from all retailers on the reduction:

Closer to £20 for a PSU and around £25 for a controller, pound for the HDMI cable, I guess it did come out nearly 6 years ago, the 1TB mid 2015, it's still a bargain. Hard to find the S model sub £100 (£165 in CEX)...
Heat added.

I posted a deal on 360s earlier
How did this get so much heat? You have to spend more to get the controller etc?

Also I've noticed that musicmagpie have upped their prices (possibly in anticipation of a discount code). I bought a ps4 from them earlier this year for £131 after 20% off - same console is now £144 with the same % off.

They sent me 2 consoles by accident so I unsuccessfully contacted them about arranging a return - but thats a whole other story.

Wow, in late 2019, that's showing some major commitment to the cause.
Not a great deal - cold

They've got to do something with the consoles that get traded in without peripherals.

Their selling prices are fluid and will change according to supply and demand, just like their buying prices.

Whoa there! Newark is like Blade Runner compared to Grantham!! Do people still have to walk in front of cars with a flag there?!!!

Watch out with those price when there that low they might be online banned.

I imagine that they wouldn't be able to sell a banned console. And if they did they would have to tell you before hand.

They must pay about 7p ! Be better off using eBay or even give to charity shop
