I have posted this in the past, probably about a year ago. Halfords have since had many refurbished & price drops. The reviews are terrible, so whilst I would like to vote hot on price I now think you will be wasting good money on a bad product so no vote either way from me.

Ok, just realised this is the Navsure N420i which does have good reviews. My old post was for the predecessor the N400

Guys make sure you tell your insurance if you change your normal radio to this. Otherwiser they could use this that you did not tell them and may invalidate a claim.

this is a pretty good unit, got ours slightly cheaper when there was a discount code, for a refurbished one it was all there and didnt look used apart from some scratches on the body of the unit where it slides inside the dash, fitted ourselves because in the small print on the free fitting voucher certain vehicles are extra, if you take your time it all goes in easily though. A tip- bolt the wire marked "handbrake" to a metal part inside the dash somewhere, this earths it and means that your passengers can still watch dvds while you drive them around the private roads on your country estate

can the face be taken off or any other security?

can the face be taken off or any other security?

sadly no, due to the way the screen comes out on a motor. you get a crude black plastic cover with the kit which can be slotted over the face of the unit, to be honest this draws attention to it really, when the unit is switched off it just looks like a nondescript radio/cd player anyway
we also fitted a cheap freeview box from ebay, unless you have a fantastic aerial it won't work while driving though, probably not a bad thing!
can this play dvd's while the satnav is on for back passenger's ??
