Thoughts on this? Could be a good machine if you added a decent graphics card.

low ghz quad-core is about the worst possible option per £ if you are wanting to play games. much better off buying a faster ghz dual core

2.5 GHz isn't really that low, considering fast is 3.2 GHz. A lot of games are multithreaded now so you will get the benefit of four cores.

Not a bad deal, the graphics in it is rather weedy, not sure how much scope there is for expansion. I assume there's a PCIe slot in it.

Yes it has 1 PCI slot in it ready for a graphics card. Bought this very machine myself last week and can't fault it to be honest. I always said i'd never buy a pre built PC again but at this price it's a bargain.

Is 2.5 ghz that low for £300???

Are the abundance of refurbished deals at PC World customer returns or is it more likely to be that they have had their OS changed from vista up to Windows 7? Just seems that with such a big stock they can't always be returns?? Any help appreciated as this is looking about bet buy for my £300 as I missed the Dell deal last week for £299.

Seems to have been replaced with PACKARD BELL iMedia X4520uk Refurbished Desktop PC at the same price
