I wouldn't buy from here. Purchased a 43 inch tv last month and when it arrived noticed purple distortion on panel. Sent it back and got a refund which was processed quickly. You only have 14 days to notify of fault. If anything develops after that period you have to take to repair shop at your cost. Best to save the pennies more and buy from richer sounds to get 6 year guarantee. That what I did in the end.

Do I buy, or wait for black Friday?

I bought one from them , it’s a refurb, but when it came it appears brand new ! No issues . Would recommend!

Never had a problem buying from the refurb store. Purchased a few TVs and a soundbase. Good customer service too when you need to return something.

Perhaps I was just unlucky with my one. I noticed it when I plugged my Pro upto it and screen when dark on loading sections.
Anyone know if this is a Vestel please?
J_B02/11/2019 08:30

Yes it is.

Thanks @J_B, I'll steer well clear then!
Thanks for all your feedback

Treat yourself you won’t be sorry , ignore the vestel type comments , to watch Corrie etc you won’t notice the difference, it’s a great price for a bedroom or kitchen tv.
what's this stigma around Vestels? For this price you can't go wrong. Ok maybe wait for black friday and you'll find a cheap Hisense but this is honestly not too bad. I got a 43in one and it came boxed, looked brand new and no issues whatsoever. It wasn't my first 4K either as I got a couple of Samsung 4K I bought before the World Cup last yr for about three times this and honestly the Panasonic Vestel isn't too bad compared to them.
Link doesn't bring up TV, also if search for it can't find it. On mobile so may have to wait until home to use pc.

Are you sure about this?
I understood you have a 12 month warranty with these Panasonic refurb tvs?
If it goes wrong in that period they would surely just replace.
I got 55" from them about 3 years ago, never had a fault, seemed to be nearly new.
Yeah I check the terms.at the time. It has a 12.month warranty. But after 14 days it is upto you to send to repair shop from what I understood. Either way I was perhaps unlucky. Just giving ppl a warning that all might be not as good as it seems.

You need to take it to the repair centre, but they'll repair it for free under warranty.

Yeah that's the bit I didn't like. If you buy a faulty TV why should you take it there? Either way good luck all but check the TV over throughly within the 14 days period.

Because this is priced as a used TV and any warranty at all for me is a bonus.

If it's faulty when you bought it, they'll collect it, and on the off chance a fault develops after 2 weeks, I don't think it's a big deal to drive a few miles to have it repaired considering how much I've saved.

Yeah true. I purchased a TV from richer sounds in the end for about just over £100 more as wanted longer guarantee.

It just depends how risk adverse you are in the end.

I guess I'm lucky enough that I've never had anything breaking down under warranty, unless there was already a problem from the start.

If it's a small difference I'm happy to pay more for better warranty, but for me 30%+ of the price is too much. The day I finally have an issue, the money I saved overall will more than cover that loss
