Rubbish. I've updated my S9 to Android 10 and nothing has changed in terms of performance. Battery is still terrible though
Someone can have mine on the 13th March for £213 excellent condition
Yardbird22/02/2020 00:06

I agree the battery life is not great but than it's only 3000mAh

I doubled battery life by disabling the Facebook app and uninstalling eBay. These were demolishing my battery in the background, despite me 'limiting background activity'. I just use the browser to access both sites when I need to.
Great phone, it's my main one still. Though the recent Android 10 update did significantly impact on performance. It's slowed down a bit and multitasking is a challenge. Can now barely hold any apps in RAM meaning that you have to reload an app if you switch to 2 others sequentially then back.

Sorry mate, was planning on responding. Apologies, and heat added
What condition will this be in by customers previous experience? Like new? Good?

Good are generally better than described from 4gadgets in my experience, one of the best for Cs and handset grading.

I would describe condition as excellent even tho I did order good.
No marks or scratches on the device.
It came with usb type C charging cable.
Well packed next day delivery service.
Overall very happy with the phone.

I totally agree. I didn't expect this phone to be in such a good condition.

Have ordered from these guys and can vouch they are great.
Note 9 with 512GB with dual sim is 355. Still holding its price well

That phone has 4GB of RAM. I mean how bad can Android be to be worse than Windows at memory management.

'Good' condition = grade C/D = misleading marketing OP

Good luck everyone, you should expect marks

Try to use Amazon on Chrome too for better battery life, as described above by @Wadadli_Cooler. You might need to uninstall FB too, maybe not possible to disable it

I haven't noticed any difference since the update.
I love my s7 edge. Would an s9 be much of an improvement?

In my view yes it's an upgrade you get dual speaker's and you get rid of touchwiz...

I think you'd love it even more, 2 gens upward you should notice improved performance, design upgrade was already massive with S8

You actually must be just out of security updates, perfect time for handset upgrade

Take into account form factor, if you love S7 Edge size-wise then S9+ would be its match, plus you'd get a double camera. S9 more palm-friendly, screen size actually bigger than S7E thanks to smaller bezels

Is the s9 plus worth the extra?

It depends on how much is the extra. Double camera, bigger screen/memory/battery, especially the latter as one on S9 bit small. I personally prefer smaller form factor, had S7 now have Note 8 also a bit short of battery, one on S9+ can give you 1.5 days on a charge, you might need to replace it soon if you buy used, no big deal, £20-30

Many thanks
Just get a Pocophone.
Gosh the prices have plummeted

I still have my original S7 edge handset from May 2016 running custom Note 8 version of Android Pie. (Black Diamond Rom)

Personally, I wouldn't bother unless you're looking for a better camera.

Having gone from an S7 to S9 I'd say it's definitely worth it. Miles better performance.
I bought the s9 brand new 8 months ago and would admit battery is poor. Half a day with heavy usage and now battery health 89% which I guess is to be expected after 260 charges.

Bought a refurb ipad off 4gadgets and first one they sent had a major battery fault, so I returned and they were unable to repair so sent another one which is fine.

They do answer emails like same day usually so good comms

Bit of a gamble though buying a refurb phone especially if the battery is shagged. You get the 12 months warranty tho. 6 months on battery.

Same, Android 10 has killed my phone. I've barely used it since it's last charge 5 hours ago and I'm already down to 52% battery
S9 or xiaomi note 8 pro?

Really torn with them both being very good deals!

Yes that's what I was worried about when leaving my S7. That phone was perfect size and for some reason Samsung and everybody else think people want a phone the size of a tablet nowadays.
I'm using an S6 edge and it's still going strong after nearly 4 years of hardcore use.
Never had to change the battery but it is draining more now
Where do i get an original S6 edge battery from?

Look on eBay, although most repair shops will be able to replace it

Samsung official shops will charge you much more

You can't compare a flagship with a midranger, to put it mildly, or a premium phone and a budget phone
