Hot! But a bit risky getting refurbished flash drives.
Totally agree, bought a refurbished flash drive from My Memory before, it was a SanDisk too, tested the drive using H2testw program and it failed, it was a 64GB drive, after it reached 54/55 GB it wouldn't write to it, contacted My Memory and they were willing to refund me instantly, I declined as I really wanted a drive, they told me to keep it and they sent me another one, again it had the same issue, can't fault My Memory, really good service and never had an issue with them, just issues with the flash drive.

Also bought another refurbished drive from My Memory which was a Corsair drive, so far no issues, from my experience it's a gamble if you will get a good or a bad refurbished drive, at least you have a good service with My Memory which help in purchasing the refurbish drive from them.

    ii) the write speed?

Don't even think usb deals should be posted without this info. (Same as ssds)

ordered, finger crossed its not a faulty drive

I wonder what referbished means when it comes to flash drives
I will bet that, at most, it means the plastic casing has been replaced.

No company is going to bother to repair a flashdrive: it would be far too expensive, given the retail price. They are probably returns that have been repackaged or possibly recased.

No matter what people say , storage has finite lifespan , based on the cycles it goes through. It's not allot of value to get this compared to a new usb stick , if this was enterprise grade hardware where u can see exactly what it's gone through then that's different .
