Yes it will, just make sure you have a large enough power supply (decent 500w will do just fine) with the required pcie power cable to support this 6pin or 8pin ideally depending on this version model.

Otherwise its great bang for buck and will do 1080p gaming on high at 60fps on most new games.

RX 480 and Intel Core i5-4460 @ 3.20GHz has less than 8% bottleneck in many games and is perfect match to avoid FPS loss.
Thanks for all comments...I have a decent power supply, needed a quick solution for little brother to play some Fortnite without disturbing me in this lockdown.
Sorry to jump on your thread OP I have MSI H61M-P31/W8 MS-7788 motherboard, i5-3340 processor and power supply that says total not to exceed 250 watts. Would this work for me?

No, you would need a better power supply.
The card is a beast at 1080p, but be warned it does get hot and is noisy.

Ok thanks, I also have WD 250gb, do I have upgrade options or shall I just go for new PC altogether?

Just a new power supply should be fine if you're ok installing it yourself. I would also recommend a SSD if don't have one but it's not essential.

Is your PC a premade or some branded model? Make sure you case can fit the new power supply, rarely an issue but worth checking out

I'd keep the 570.

The 570 is actually better in some games than the 480 by 1-3 fps.
I got the 580 earlier in the week for 75.

That depends, my girlfriend had an I5 4570 with an R9 290 and for single player/offline games there was little bottleneck but for some modern multiplayer games it would bottleneck when playing online. Getting a cheap I7 4790 off ebay fixed the issues completely due to the extra threads.
MrKrabs27/03/2020 14:31

I'd keep the 570.

I don’t have a 570 I’ve got a 750ti I’m asking which one is a better card to upgrade to

No problem, always better to ask if you're unsure.
I'm still rocking an i5 2500k. Woukd adding this let me play Witcher 3??

Have to disagree, running warzone with R5 2600, tomahawk b450 and this card from same seller it runs about 68/69 centigrade and the fans not particularly loud because jaws (the wife, she never shuts up) would be quick to "inform me" of such.
Hi everyone. Need some advice with mine.. currently running a i5-4690k not overclocked and running with a r9 280 and 16gb. Who I bought the pc off put the cpu with a motherboard I can’t over click. Is it worth getting this graphics card or do I go for a better one? Just concerned about bottlenecking thanks!
I have a Core i5 3570K, with 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti , worth getting? Do I need to buy any pins or cable for this? Tia
Why would anyone buy this? You can get better brand new for a tiny bit more. Crazy

You still can overclock on the bclk, but if you do not have a Z97board then that is the only way otherwise you can use the multipliers to oc. and/or look for a used board on ebay for a few quid to unlock that cpu to 4.4 ghz with a decent cooler.

This is a huge increase from a 750ti, you will need to check your psu to see if it has 6 and 8 pin power rails.

What gcard do you currently have, have you oc that 2500k? can easily get 4.5hgz on it due to the heatsink spreader being soldered.

That info is incorrect looking at the big picture, some games actually perform 1-3pfs more than the 480, but the thing to realy consider is more and more games and especially in the coming 2 years will eat past that 4gb vram, this is where the 570 8gb will shine and the 4gb 480 will suffer huge fps loss and therefore the settings will have to be reduced a lot to keep up, but not so on the 8gb 570 card

The 8gb card is a must if you plan on keeping it for the next 2 years, games already are eating past 4gb vram usage, this is only going to increase with future releases ( think next gen console ports ) the 4gb folk are forced to reduce settings down a lot to keep up a decent fps. Also the 570 performs a tiny bit better in some games than the 480. Hope that helps.
