Nice. A little machine for your kidz to prat about with. Could even stick some cheap new parts in it or just use it to surf the web \ download stuff without risking your main computer.

Personally it might be a nice little machine to mess about with Linux on.

Pity it's a hot p4 in such a small case.
You can't fit any other m/b in the shuttle cases either, can you?

The only downsides are - agp not pci-e, SATA 150 not 300, the energy usage and the graphics wont play any decent high res video, which eliminates its use as a HTPC as they describe it in the advert.

I had a 3.4 Extreme Edition in mine..with a uprated PSU and a half decent graphics card, it did get a little warm in summer! In fact I think it's in the loft and this proves its not worth selling.

And you need to add a hard drive, keyboard, mouse and windows licence(or linux for free), might be cheaper to buy a full machine from SCHTRADE or ebay for £50-£60

Like this schtrade.co.uk/pro…op/

45 day warranty
Dell OptiPlex 745 - Core 2 Duo, 1.86GHz, 1GB, 80GB, DVD-ROM

For £53

Or for the same price - HP Compaq Business Desktop Dc7700 - Core 2 Duo, 1.86GHz, 3GB, 80GB

Specs & Drivers for windows here

I gave away an old AMD one of these last month, had a barton 2500+ in it. Was a great machine in its day but I just couldn't find a use for it anymore.

i have a old agp card laying about half tempted to buy one for my nan whack in the geforce 5900 and see if it runs netflix lol

Great pieces of kit but as it's a P4 you may not be able to use Windows 8 on it.

I'm sure your nan would just love an old hot power-hungry P4 machine with an old hot power-hungry high end graphics card installed. The poor womans power bills would probably double. Machines like this and graphics cards like that just need to disappear, it's just no longer viable to run them.

On the plus side, it would keep her nice & warm during this extended nuclear winter . . .

I run a shuttle PC as a media PC connected to my TV, it must be 5 years old now but has been rock solid, nice small design - I'm a big fan of them.

What a bargain, even just for the case.

WOW! Pentium 4.
Perfect for cold winter as now.

All gone

This is cheap, you could probably mod the case to fit an ITX board without much trouble. First thing I would do with one is check the board and power supply for bad caps.

P4’s aren’t that useless, I was using an 775 P4 3.2Ghz with Win7 until recently and it was fine for net browsing and general use…….it did pump out the heat though lol.

Why on earth would you want to ?

I've a couple of shuttles still in working order including a cedar mill P4 version running @ 4.5Ghz - Now that gets hot

Not if you look at the top or click on this link!

I'm tempted to get one of these just for the case.

This is FANTASTIC! Just bought!!

Be warned
*The P4 will run hot (ie don't plan on shutting it in a cupboard)
*Its DDR1 memory so will be expensive to upgrade
*Has no harddrive (add £30+ to the cost)
*It's AGP this means extremely limited and expensive upgrade options
*It's only got a 200w psu meaning limited upgrade options
*10/100 network

It might be worth looking in the local paper as people will give away similar P4 systems for free or next to nothing with extras thrown in.

Having said that it seems very decent for the money if you have an old HDD lying around and want a cheap server, plus its free delivery.

HDD from SKY box and gpu, wifi card and ram from a p4 system that is massive and dying...nice system to much around with for £23!

P4! This thing thing radiates as much as a 4 bar heater. Perfect for this cold spring but no heat from me.
Ran an AMD version of this for 5 years thy are very well engineered little units.
God for a cheap media streamer or project for a kid.

I would have had one if it didnt have a mini power supply if that dies then what.

Great deal - just add HDD.

Was going to order one then remembered I have an old shuttle in the loft !

I have 2 better spec computers lying around that I can't give away! Who would pay money for a P4?

You can purchase a Pentium D 920 (dual core version of p4) for £6 on ebay and stick it in this. Sorted.

These are fine for everyday messing, surfing and general work. I built my wife one a few months ago from a collection of parts I had left over. Nice and small for the Lounge.

can this take two sata 3.5 drives?

Spec list

And yes, you can fit 2 x 3.5" SATA drives as it has 1 x 3.5" internal bay and 1 x 3.5" external bay - you just don't need remove the external cover

Will cost you more in electricity in the long run!

Please find me a deal that matches this price. Can't find one? Kthxbye!

To be honest, would you be better off with this or a RaspberryPi?

Depends on your uses. You'll be able to play games such as CS 1.6 on this

You can fill it with a few hard drives, use it as a media server.

Why has this been expired! There are 3 left!

bought one to use as a media server but found the ethernet is only 10/100. need a usb ethernet gigabit adapter to up the ante

Okay for putting together a HTPC at a guess.
