No 1 years only. Its a refurbished TV. But sometimes end of line clearance too or customer returns.
Perhaps you should put that into the title. Good deal, but I’ll never buy refurbished.
10 bit?

Google is your friend
I voted hot before title was rectified
Here be dragons.
Does not look like there are any special return/cancellation arrangements for refurbished products. If you don't like it, you have 14 days and have to pay return postage. Which for a telly this size is going to cost you arm and leg.
No thanks!
Went for the 43" XE8396 for £379, which is £200 cheaper than most stores.

So like most shops then!
I don't know why people are obsessed with warranties, I have never had a TV just break on me*, still have a cheapo Hannspree which is years old that still works.

Most shops don't sell refurbished products.
I'm only going by what I'm used to buying from Amazon Warehouse. If you discover any problems, they offer hassle-free returns. Sony don't. They don't give grading or cosmetic condition description. So if you don't like it, you're stuffed.

They do. Their TVs are either Grade A or B, and they clearly explain what each grade means.
Repaired tv with 1 year warranty - NAH.
Lol i bought 3yrs ago samsung refurbished and no issues. It was even wrapped with plasitc like new one so dont be afraid and u can save a lot. Like someone else noticed ive never had issues with tv and never heard from anyone i know about issues with tv. They seems to be faultless
I got refub from Ebay, gaming monitor 144hz, 27 curved, etc for 250gb (-20% deal) and looks like new, no scraches, no cracks, there is even a foil on frame and some other parts. 250saved.
Like @Robot_Rooster said, how many times your TV/speakers/headphones and other, expensive itmes (not asia alternatives) need to be repair after 1-2-3 years?
Refurbished should be better bet than new, because any defect has been repaired. Do you think they check every new TV before it leaves factory?

Thank you!! It's not just me then who's mystified by the (HotUKD) obsession with guarantees/warranties/CS etc. People go on and on. If it's a £40k car that you do 20k miles pa in then yes you want plenty of comeback but a £500 telly that if it does go wrong is likely to be early on? I don't get it.

Also "refurbs" - I'm more than happy to buy a £600 TV for £400 and have used the Sony outlet several times over the years. Products are always basically brand new as far as I can tell and never had any problems. Yet people say "Yuck second hand!" - they're really not, and you're missing out. Better deals for the rest of us I guess.
They also offering a refurb KD49XE90 for £749 which is a £200 saving on new.
Also, if you call Sony Centre before placing the order you can extend the standard 1 year warranty to 5 years for around £100.

I don't think you shouldn't knock people wanting or willing to pay the extra for warranties etc. They're buying 'peace of mind'. Of course the statistics work in favour of the company providing the warranty; they wouldn't stay in business very long otherwise!

It's all down to acceptable risk. Isn't that how insurance works? I take a different perspective which is based on the idea that it's sod's law I'll pay for warranty/insurance and never have to make a claim; in effect I'm paying for my purchase not to go wrong

For the record, I had a 42" Panasonic develop a serious fault in the 4th year of the 5yr warranty you get with John Lewis. A couple of phone calls and they did a deal for me to trade up to a 50" model with no fuss. You can guess from where I bought our second TV
talking of warranties, do you think sony will let you buy a further 5 year warranty to cover this TV? it will still work out cheaper. its around £850 mark in most stores
yes for £99 you can upgrade the 1yr to 5yrs. you cant do it online, you have call them.
this brings the price up to around £650, you can buy it new for £750 at currys with 5yr warranty so only a £100 saving.

I bought a 55" refurb tv from sony center 3 years ago. It was as in brand new condition. Yes the warranty was only 1 yr compared to 3 or 5 but i had no problem so far.

infact only 3 yrs and my tv is already outdated (as not 4k) etc.
It is so wierd that last time when I posted a deal from sony centredirect went modernization......

I was told that the warrenty has to be done by sony store rather than online though.
Only one year?! Wow, thats absurd. I had a Sony TV from JL that packed in after 2 years that was replaced. Buy cheap, you pay the price eventually I guess.

Sorry about that I am sure they had more than one though as they were still on offer after I bought mine. Delivery tomorrow, plenty of notifications - great service so far.
recently updated the firmware on my 2015 Sony , and the update cured a few problems eg slow channel change AND they vastly improved the youtube app , nice to know they dont drop the older Tv's like a DT
We're sorry but the product you're looking for is currently unavailable.
