Probably the cheapest deal for a refurb 15" laptop with a 12 month guarantee from a national supplier. See the discount code below to get 20% off the listed price of £129.99, bringing it down to £103 delivered! (thanks rhodboy for pointing this out). Still over 10 in stock!

Granted it's refurbished, but Argos have a sterling 12 month guarantee with a 3rd party IT vendor. I have first hand experience of their refurbs and they tend to look like new.

If your needs are web browsing, Spotify, YouTube, Office apps etc this laptop will be perfect for you. Gamers look elsewhere, the AMD E1-1200 is not exactly a speed demon. You do get a USB3 port and HDMI out, amongst other things. There's also an optical drive (DVD-RW dual layer) which is not listed in the Argos specs below.

The Argos spec doesn't mention it, but you can see the Optical Drive in the photos and the Toshiba spec lists it as a DVD-RW (dual layer) drive: toshiba.co.uk/dis…1q/

And no punched cards support. Cold.

Refurbished ! Don't EVER think of it . Must have been sent back for a reason . They just run the standard tests (if they even do that ?) reinstall the OS and Bobs your Uncle . You may be lucky ,you may not . If it works -to some degree - then you may have a decent deal . But ask yourself "why did it get sent back in the first place , and have they really fixed it ? "

I have no issues with these refurbs, most common problems are software related. Comes with 12 month warranty if you are worried. Discount code CTWENTY should work too?

...further to my last comment, the discount code does work, thus reducing price to £103.

Not sure if you have any experience of Argos refurb laptops? I have bought a few (3 or 4) over the past 4 years. All came in the box and were in pristine condition, there was one with a light scratch on the lid but that was the only one I can remember. I had to make a claim within the warranty for one which I had dropped by accident (the hard disk was coming up with SMART errors). The 3rd party vendor which covers their refurb items asked me to send it back straight-away for repair, I had it back within two weeks with a new hard disk. The repair was signed off personally by the technician. I couldn't really fault their guarantee.
