Great need a new jacket for the boiler

When they were made in Sheffield by RAB they could justify the price, maybe not so much now on their lower end stuff. Regatta has been around as long as I can remember, and yes maybe a reluctance to wearing the badge as it is priced at the low end of the market, but it doesn't mean it's bad stuff by any means.

It is snobbery in the main. I like the fit of rab clothes, they tend to hug more and actually fit, but I'm slim and tall so others may have different issues. I find the cheaper end of the market is aimed more at 'fashion' shaped people than actual active outdoors types, but they charge about 1/4 of what the big brands do even at normal prices!

I'd have no issue someone seeing I wore a regatta, as long as it functions it's irrelevant. My usual down is a craghoppers, keeps me warm enough but the chest is a bit baggy to get the arms to fit right and if anything the arms are a bit wide for me. The rab does fit a lot better but unless I'm on a mountain not enough to warrant the cost.

you get the 3.95 back if you return as long as you cancel your order
Nice to see the price Down
I would try in store as I tried all their lightweight baffle jackets and they didn't fit well (especially if your Man sized ((over 6ft)) It honestly feels like someone cut out the shape of a short person's torso 'twice' and then stitched both halves together.
I'm a medium but found I couldn't move my arms into a steering position without it tugging and with my arms above my head I could see my belly button.
I can’t see the weight of down, but for 90% down with 600 fill power, think it’s a decent price. Personally, I’d go for the decathlon one, as better down weight and fill for a similar price

Yeah, they're live-plucked, it's a horrible method to produce clothing.

Edit: they say on the website that they don't use live-plucked down, but they do use down from China. Given that's the source, I'm not sure that I'd trust it.

Then you need to wear a Henley Regatta & project a plums in pout perspective!
Thank you for posting. We have added your thread to the Highlights pages
Feathers coming out of the lining drive me mad with these type of jackets.

My Rab primaloft pertex jacket lasted me 10 years and still fine to wear so not that expensive. I think more people are giving up on down since the synthetics have got a lot better. The dry out overnight for starters useful in a country where it seems to rain /all the time/

They're cheaper than other 'outdoor' clothing brands like Berghaus,The North Face etc, but they're having a 70% off sale atm, the original price on this jacket is £80 for example, albeit it was probably selling for less than that before the sales. They sell some cheap easily packable waterpoofs which may have been what you saw.

Regatta make Waterproof, warm, & good looking jackets & you can get em dirt cheap in the sale atm. Better than buying some over priced more fashionable brand. I've always associated them with quality, just stuff that older outdoorsy people would wear... they're going younger these days though. I'd always look for a similar brand for my jackets these days, an outdoor gear specialist like them, Trespass, Berghaus etc. A lot of fashion brands make useless coats that you get soaked in & won't keep you you warm!
Anyone else received theirs? Mine feels as though there is no filling across the back panel and it's nowhere near a medium. More like a small at best.
Same mate, wasn't expecting much for the price but feels like almost zero filling in mine.... was disappointed with the quality and sizing.
