Single skin tent is it? If so you might get a bit wet..
Cheap price though!

Single skin I believe, but fine as a disposable festival tent.

Nice one! I was going to buy something similar this evening for £29.99, so happy to grab a bargain.. Cheers OP!!

Glad to be of service, your welcome.

Have to say it looks like a good deal but my experience of Regatta stuff has not been encouraging. Bought a pair of their walking trousers and all the metal zips literally disintegrated after some months. I don't think they liked water!

ok for the price. after all you cant expect to be able to take it up everest for £15 !!!!

Bought one for the kids so I dont have to make a 'wigwam' every time we go to the allotment.
Went up in a second. Getting it back in it's bag was another matter! H&R from me

Excellent, just what I was looking for.

It take it from your comment that this claim is nonsense "and can be quickly packed away."

Fab, thanks. Been after a pop up tent to use in the awning of my trailer tent when we have guests to stay :-)

It takes a bit of practice but once you've packed it away a couple of times, it's straightforward.

warning, these are really quite poor. borrowed one from a friend last year and being splashed in the face every morning because the morning's dew collects on the outside of the tent and the wind blows gently is not a good thing. 1 skin is absolutely useless. If you are wanting a disposable one (though...yknow, be green n that I guess) then you may as well get a cheap old style tent, at least that will have 2 layers.

Single skinned plus the dark colours will have you freshly baked out of your tent at 7am.

What would these be like as a beach tent for the dog and the kids? Would they be UV resistant?

I'd recommend you invest in a quick pitch Quechua tent from Decathlon (www.decathlon.co.uk) , they're double skinned and excellent! Solid and well designed. Manufacturers website - quechua.com/EN/…76/

I have a 2 second XL quick pitch 3 man tent, has loads of space and an area separate to the sleeping area to put your boots etc in. Great bit of kit - takes about 60 seconds to put back in the bag and available in various sizes, from single to four man. They can deliver nationally now too. I'd recommend you avoid the single skin other manufacturers tents as others have mentioned - not nice first thing on a damp morning or rainy night.

Good Advice, Probably the best Pop up Tent available, Outwell Jersey are good too, as are Vango Dart and Lichfield Yana

Ideal for festivals!

Seconding the quechua recommendation. Mine has lasted me many festivals over the past few years. It was only £20, too. This single skin one is not ideal for anything other than a kids' play tent! Especially as it's small, so you're likely to end up very wet the moment you move in the morning and touch the side.

2 person tent

You never here of a 1 person tent do you, even though that's what these 2 person tents are really. It's just so you don't feel embarrassed when you buy one :geek:

Does anyone know how small these are when folded up?

I'm going to a festival in Spain and I'm in need of a small tent that I can get into my rucksack for the plane journey!

Co-incidently I was looking for a tent earlier, for a traditional put-up tent (or however you describe it) I found one for £12.99

# 800mm hydrostatic head.

apparently a big number here is important. for best water proofing 2,000 or higher

Like a big flat disk - may be 90cm in diameter, so I guess not hand luggage friendly.

I literally just logged on to my computer to post this deal... saw it in today's mirror! Fantastic deal... perfect for festivals etc.

got one of these last time they had em on offer. well worth the money. A little tricky to pack away tho. It really does beat me how the item is made for £15? HOT.

Considering the MOD rates 600mm as fully waterproof dont believe everything a camping shop tells you, and take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.

I havent heard of squaddies complaining that they get leaked on

I've got a 2" XL as well - only two/three man-sized tent I can fully lay down in (6'5"). Always keeps me dry when the heavens open on the Mendips every June (touches wood)! Everything else I've got from Decathlon (some cheap polyester Ts, fleeces and a rain jacket, sleeping bag, camping mattress) has been excellent as well.

:whistling:Definately not waterproof as my son and his mate found out on thursday night, they had to go on a 15 mile hike with college pitch up a tent for overnight and then hike back another 15 miles only to find themselves woken up at 3am absolutely soaked . Don't waste your money unless its for the kids to play in

It defies all logic why anyone goes camping (voluntarily!) when there are loads of perfectly good hotels all over the place.....

ah cheers for that, we've not got a local Decathlon down south, even better now they deliver to anywhere in the UK, usually I get my stuff from the french Decathlon in St.Malo when I'm over there.
