Best going with starling business bank account

No fees and just an overall better service.

Much more responsive
Great deal OP. Make sure you register your domain names .co.uk, .com etc first, otherwise a cyber squatter will register them before you do.

Send me a referral please

Just type “tide referral” on google and one comes up straight away... I used that top one and got my £50 so I know that one works. Does take a lifetime for it to arrive though !

New rule in life .... whenever I’m registering for something and a box comes up asking for a referral code.... I ALWAYS go to google to find one before completing registration. :-)

Agree, starling best UK bank out there, and I've had accounts with all of them bar TSB. Love the way I can set up spaces for things like vat and corporation tax - RBS wanted me to setup separate accounts! RBS offered to give me £1500 to switch away from them, couldn't say no to that!

Please read the t&c s. They give you a prepaid debit card which is not accepted in lot of places (mostly digital platforms such as Apple ads, google ads etc.). And don’t even get me started with their Bounce back loan processing
Yorkshire bank is brilliant. 2.5 years free
Well.... starling is good, simple and sweet........ but best to keep idle money in business savings account.... like SBI gives 0.5% interest (used to be 1% before carona meltdown) on 10k plus, 85k protection. No fee, but transfers are allowed during week days.. there are other optio like virgin money but no prior exp with them... Santander also have some 0.4% but comes with a fee, but has strict credit check etc ..... so worth exploring...
Don't do this unless you really need it.
This is the worst bank out there no customer service, lots of hidden fees and overall bad.
Reminds me of when I was contracting back in the day. I thought it would be a hoot to register my company name as "Dodgy Swedish Videos Ltd".

It was all fine until I had to ring the TSB Business account centre one day and they asked me for the name. I had to say "Dodgy Swedish Videos" to the most serious, deadpan man i'd ever spoken to and he asked "Are you in the video business ?"

With VHS out of fashion, if I buy bulk what discount are we talking?
Tide is a great company. Have used them for a few years now. Super simple to use; much better than the high street banks (though be aware that their accounts typically don't allow overdrafts and that fees for foreign currency can be high).

And I know from experience that a £50 prepaid debit card (in my case, it was a Visa) cannot be used to buy a £50 Amazon gift card on Amazon
Can't reccomend starling enough !

Can you use it with PayPal? I've managed to use a prepaid MasterCard with PayPal in the past. Never tried Visa though.
Just set my account up - that was really simple and easy, I thought it would be a lot more complicated. Thanks
From what I've seen the fines can be quite large if you don't file the accounts properly and on time.

Would like to have one at some point to use for things online, but it seems a bit complex to do the accounts (even without earnings). Has anyone got any insight into this, is there a tool that can help you file very basic accounts?
PM me if you have a referral and I'll happily take it!
Please PM me the referral code

Check Chanchis old tide thread nothing but problems and no fscs protection? Maybe that’s changed now.
