Good post OP! At my local store all the items within the glass cabinet there were also heavily reduced such as one of the retro landline phones being sold for the crazy sum of £4.99!

dab can be good for rural walks

Never tried in that context but my experience is that the signal is very poor in built up areas so I would have thought it would be tough to get a good signal in more more rural locations.
Aldi deals are store specific.

Not everyone has broadband in their homes. I only use sim data for Internet access. I use my dab radio all the time.
Thanks for posting this. I managed to get the last one in Wesham. It was in the display case with no price, but scanned at £9.99

It's a really nice bit of kit and doubles up as a bluetooth speaker.
Which store was this please?
I posted this at the weekend I have also since seen them in Botley Road, Oxford and Didcot, as well as the Slade, Oxford.
Thanks OP None in any of the Glasgow stores but a couple in Edinburgh an I`m going there Friday so might get lucky
Voted hot
Voted hot. I bought it at full price
They are in store in the cabinets - I saw one today and one yesterday in different stores and another at the weekend.
Is this Dab+ or just DAB. Lots of channels not included if not +
Similar radio in Lidl for the same price... seems better quality though..
Kind regards

What do you mean exactly ?
Bought and very happy with it.

For £9.99 this is great

auto date and time update
alarm
fm
dab
aux in
headset out
and best is Bluetooth
with 2.1 in built subwoofer

User guide and box box does not say it is DAB+ but ....

I got 58 dab stations including fun kids and magic chilled for example which make me think this is dab+ compatible

I got this from pure.com

pure.com/uk/…lus

Retune your radio!

If you know you have a DAB+ compatible digital radio, you may need to retune your radio to find the new stations. Typically this can be done by either pressing a re-tune or auto-tune button or by going in to the menu and selecting scan, re-tune or auto-tune.

One you have re-tuned, if you can see Mellow Magic or Virgin Radio on your set, but can't find Jazz FM, Fun Kids or Magic Chilled your radio may not be yet DAB+ compatible.
Good find if you can find one. They had reduced them to £20 in Southampton a few weeks back. All went.

I wasnt sure if you meant; you only got five stations with dab because it wasnt dab+, thus it was junk !

Ah, sorted!
Picked the last black one at Southport yesterday but they still had the white version, pretty good for a tenner , quick to tune in . No remote no problem just going to leave it on BBC6Music anyway. Doesnt come near my Roberts but that was £250 quid, but the Roberts doesnt have Bluetooth. Grab one if you can..

Funny that! I listen to Union Jack and the children listen to fun kids. I didn't realise they were Dab+ only, could Wikipedia be wrong or out of date?. We get them both on DAB (non+) in the car and at home and also have the union Jack skill on Alexa.

To be honest, I think it's that DAB+ is more wide spread than people realise. It's the new standard, if you've bought a radio in the last five years, chances are it's DAB+, even if the box doesn't say so. A lot of the Pure brand radios, including my older kitchen one, could be firmware updated over usb to DAB+, I'd had that about 12 years.

Which one seemed better quality please?.

The OP's one?.

Or the Lidl one you also mentioned?.

Which store was this please?

I wish all OP's would remember to state this somewhere within the body of their Deal's in the first place?.

Makes for less confusion all round.

I've been most of the country between Cornwall and Mull and as far east as Suffolk using a DAB in car and could count the number of times it couldn't get a signal on one hand.

I have the opposite problem driving from built up Belfast towards nasty old Newry

I would have prefered it in black for sure, but white doesn't look that bad in real life.

Yes. Just switch it to bluetooth mode and pair your phone.
None in either of the Paisley stores in case anyone was thinking of going.
