A job site radio with telescopic antenna. You better start collecting old coat hangers and long screwdrivers to shove in when it immediately snaps off!

Why do you always have to announce when you vote hot? Just curious.

Yes it is nationwide. Seems odd that it runs on AA batteries. Thanks for posting, heat from me
It looks a bit fragile and I don’t think the AA Batteries will last long :/

Heat for the Price though.

This is just the normal price.
has anyone bought one - are they any good? thanks
Doesn't say DAB+ so may not pick up some of the newer and future stations.
Will look like a plasterers radio by the time i have finished with it!

I bought one and impressed. Quite small but packed with features and 3 year warranty. For the price you can't go wrong!

Depends what the batteries are. If they're lead acid 20 for £1 in Poundland then probably not. If they're decent lithium ones there's probably a fighting chance of you getting a job finished before it runs out!

I bought their pocket DAB radio for a test of a range of DAB stations a bit ago and it works with DAB+ despite no mention of DAB+ in the manual. I would be flabbergasted if a radio from Aldi (considering their Continental European roots) did not support DAB+.

I bought this and have used both the bluetooth and DAB modes. It take 4x AA batteries and can also run on the mains too.

Brilliant piece of kit, very loud when you want it to be and gets good DAB reception.

You can’t really class it as ‘proper rugged’ unless it has an extendable appendage

Can't tell about this specific unit but while ago I've bought one of the Reka home dab radio for £30 which surprised me much.

Sound quality is just amazing, sounds like a £100+ level.

Also own two pairs of their Bluetooth headphones for kids travels. Also very good sound £50+ for only £13

Hopefully this one would be the same.
If you don't like the yellow they also do an all black one in some stores. Btw it's still working a treat! 😁

What do you want DAB + for?. It's Popmaster on R2, Jeremy Vine at 12 to keep you up with current affairs and then 6Music at 2pm. Future stations are not going to give you a better Pop Quiz, give you broad debates about current affairs, politics etc. so you can have an opinion in the pub and NOTHING will ever come close to 6Music for the best new music, mixed with the classics, especially the 1pm to 4pm show. Up to you. You can take a horse to water etc. obvs...

For something like this I'd get IKEA ladda rechargeables. If you get 2 packs of 4 there's always 4 recharged to go back in tomorrow.
If its so rugged - why was it packed in half a ton of polystyrene packing
Ordered the black one online tonight, using the MOTHERSDAY code for free next day delivery. Fingers crossed it turns up tomorrow.

Your Mums gonna Love the Black one!
This always makes me think of that joke about a plasterer's radio...
I have one - it has DAB+ and sounds good, and can be loud, with adjustable bass and treble, but the telescopic antenna does not feel strong, and if you look carefully at Aldi's own promotional picture you will see the radio featured has badly kinked SNAPPED ANTENNA! :-) That said, I don't regret buying it.37587940-NCFx5.jpg
