REL 10inch active subwoofer. Use voucher SAVE100 to take £100 off the price. Includes a 3 year guarantee and free delivery, There are subwoofers and there are REL subwoofers. However this does not have a high level (speaker) input so you need a low level output (AV receiver or sound bar or active speaker). If this compromise is OK for you, with the saving using this deal, makes it about half the price of a 10 inch a active REL sub with a high level input. Seems to have good online reviews at full price. No brainer.

A no brainer would be spending less on a BK sub which will just be better.

Many complaints about rattling.
BK (who make Gemini subs) have been making subwoofers for REL for years and offer their own branded units for much better prices (I have one, having previously owned a REL)

I bought the BK Gemini II about two years ago and it's excellent. Took about 11 days for manufacture in Essex but worth the wait. Cost around £220 for black ash.
I noticed the REL sub seems to have no earth pin on the inlet but is not marked as a class II (double insulated) item. In general, you want a sub with no earth to prevent earth loops. I notice the BK sub is marked as class II.

The BK uses a Class AB amplifier (150W) and the REL a class D (300W), so you can expect the standby and running cost to be lower with the REL even though it is more powerful.

Got a link? Got one u would recommend?
Just go with any BK equivalent in this price range for a better value for money Sub. As quoted BK manufactured on Rel's behalf for many years so they now what their doing.

It's 'awful' why

Nothing 'obtuse' about it as you said it's 'awful' so is that based on you just don't like the appearance or because you actually have the sub and had an issue with it

I think it looks good
REL confirmed this sub is double insulated (class II) but they have not marked this on the panel. As far as I am concerned this is wrong and fails to meet the low voltage directive. It should be marked with the two-square double insulated symbol according to BS EN 62368-1.
