Released today - ARK: Survival Evolved Xbox One just £13.29 (approx) from Russian Xbox Store

Found 16th Dec 2015
Just released today - £27.99 from the UK store so a significant saving if purchase via the Russian Xbox store (1,399R = £13.29).

Direct link:
store.xbox.com/ru-…363

You may need to change locale to Russian if yours switches to UK region when clicked.

I have checked the Canadian (£17) and Colombian (£20) stores, Russian seems to be the cheapest!

Visit microsoftstore.com then switch to Russia to purchase the credit needed, or post below for help...

Note this is an early access game.

Quick guide for those who are asking:

1) Go to the Russian MS store (microsoftstore.com/store/msru/ru_RU/list/categoryID.68295800). You may need to switch locales (bottom left) if you page is redirected to UK.

2) If you are using Chrome, choose the option to translate the page when offered (in the top bar) - this will make it easier to see what you're doing.

3) Unless you already have some Ruble balance in your account, you will need to purchase enough balance to cover the purchase - so that's 500R + 1000R in this case (or 3 x 500). Add these to your basket and click "Checkout".

4) You will be asked to sign-in. Sign in with your normal Microsoft account.

5) Once signed-in, fill in the details for the invoice. I used a Russian university address:

7-9 University emb.
St.Petersburg
199034

6) Add your card details as requested. You can store all of these details for next time.

7) Click the Terms checkbox and then click "Complete the purchase".

Once the checkout is completed, you will be presented with the redemption codes for the gift cards. Make a note of these, or keep this browser tab open.

9) Now go to xbox.com and ensure your region is set to Russia, then sign in. Once logged in, click your Avatar (top-right) then select "Use code" (second item from last).

10) Redeem ("Activate") each of the credit codes you just bought by entering the 25-digit codes. You can check your Rubles balance in the Account section (Avatar->top item, "Microsoft Account").

11) Now go to the product page on Xbox.com, then click the "Buy Now for Xbox One" button.

12) A dialogue will pop-up confirming the price and that you will use your Russian credit balance to pay, click the green button to confirm and purchase.

That's it! Go to Games & Apps on your console, download, and congratulate yourself for all the money you just saved.

Further to the OP:
If you have a VPN and/or a Revolut card, you can just purchase the game directly from the Xbox website store without the need to purchase the currency. HTH raise the heat level even further. Death to Barney.

Yup, just go to microsoftstore.com and purchase what you need. You'll need to use a Russian address (I just grabbed the address from a university in St. Petersburg!), then you'll get the credit code at the end of the transaction which you then redeem via xbox.com (be sure to switch region first!)

It helps to have a second browser open with the UK store open so you know where to click, but it's not hard to figure out.

To be honest I was hoping the early access version was going to be a little cheaper - Elite was £19.99 when it was first released if I'm not mistaken? The UK price seems a bit over the top for what is essentially a beta.

How so?

How so?

It's a lot more of a chore without tribe mates, it's harder to tame certain dino's because you have to manage keeping them unconscious and going out to kill animals for meat. I'm sure some people will still enjoy it but personally I found I lost interest playing solo a lot quicker.

I think it was £14.99....shame this isn't cheaper

its cheaper from brasil, R$69 so its around £11

My son has this on PC but playing it on a normal hdd and not ssd.
So I run into problems with game optimisation.
He's been blagging for this now on xbox to play with his friends so I'll be keeping an eye out in this deal and purchasing later.
Thanks

No, You can use Revolut "virtual" card and use it to buy but it can by rejected if you won't use VPN to change your IP to Russian.

what happens if they release the full finished game? Do you have to re-buy it and a new price?

how do pre-release games work?

I just managed to snag this from Brazil. VPN + Revolut did the trick. £11.70.

I wouldn't take the gamble yet if I'm honest , might never get finished or could be non stop paid dlc . I'm going to wait as its not even near complete on PC so doubt console would be any better ie: payday 2

can anyone access it yet on the uk xbox store? says £27.99 pre-order for me

Its a work in progress and you should have access once downloaded. Once paid you will not have to rebuy the game when it gets officially released.

Any Season Passes, dlc or micro transactions are not it included in the price unless specifically stated.

Not checked the wording on the store but I imagine it will be just the base game at this price.

any ideas please?

Just downloaded the trial for now, wouldn't it be easier buying from the Canada store? ok a little more expensive

Easier in that you can read the text you mean? As long as you know where to click it is very easy via the Russian store.

I'm still amazed that HUKD allow these sort of "deals" on here. Whether you call it fraud or not (that is debatable - but you are entering fake details to make the purchase), you are breaking the Xbox Live terms of service and you do leave yourself wide open to being banned in the future.

MS have a history of doing so, and they also love to wait for months or years before such bans - meaning that just because thousands of people have been doing this for months now it doesn't mean that its "OK" or that you won't get a ban in the future.

Not worth the risk, let along the moral issue.

Here we go again.
No you aren't. Microsoft are aware of it. The t and c's are different for X1 to the 360. The console is region free.... Blah blah blah

It's the use of a VPN & fake details that is the issue. You can move around the world, take your console with you, and buy from the local store...but using a VPN to fake your location is where there is an issue from a T+C standpoint. It is exploiting a system that is intended to make life easier for legitimate cases, where in the past you would be screwed if you moved from say the USA to the UK and would need to register a new account. Thats also why I would say there is a moral issue at hand in that you are faking details + exploiting the system.

A revolut card isn't fake details and, in a lot of cases, a vpn isn't required so there isn't anything false or fake about it.

How is this if you are going to play by yourself most of the time?

Then don't use a VPN, I never have as buying from the US, Russia or Hungary doesn't require it if you buy credit.

What are the risks of purchasing from foreign stores? And is it easy to setup? Sorry for the questions just never attempted this before

As others have already stated, VPN is not required.

I believe that Noah, T-Rex and WW2 are part of what is called the "Olden Days". It was "better" in those days, or so I am told. Nonetheless, I will check these "facts" you seem so sure about.

Was hoping this would be cheaper as its in early access. Don't think ill bite now as im too lazy to do the whole Russian store thing...shame. heat though
