Ianhn3 AKA Tito Jackson.

same price at dixons if you want cashback but i do prefer amazon

Crap battery life makes them corded rather than corded. No lithium but rather old, very old NiMh and you'll never get enough power an even that will only last for 10 minutes. I know, the second one from Amazon is on my desk now ready to go back. They are crap, all of them.

Hot deal. Getting my self a set right now.

Lots of bad reviews - I suggest you read them before you buy!

Good point.
Just read a whole load of reviews and the same issues come up abou t the flimsy/weak comb. Seeing as I would be using this regularly between me and my two boys, decide to cancel order.

Got a good set already, its just that after a few years its starting to lose charge more quickly.

Thanks for the reminder KingCampo - I always read reviews but for some reason didn't do so this time.

3.5/5 is hardly bad oO

These will be great for what I need them for.

Ordered a set.

Hi, is this also a proper electric one???

My old remington set was great but after many years if service it finally gave up the ghost. The Remington I bought to replace it was dire - it wouldn't hold a charge for more than a day and the cutting head broke the second time I cleaned it. I binned the lot. Avoid

I have to totally disagree with the above comments. I have owned one of these (the one which you can wash under the tap) for about 6 months and its great. Having cut my own and my families hair for the past 15 years, I find this to be so much better than the previous one I had. I have had no problems with the charge and in fact it was still charged from when I last used it about 6 weeks previously. Being cordless is great as you can cut hair anywhere.

Highly recommended!!!

Had my Philips ones for 10 years, Remington ones lasted a few months, will never buy this brand again ...

Bad design for the adjustable attachment combs. Hair jams inside the combs and tedious to use.

Remington products def got cheaper and flimsier.

I have reverted to an old remington one after the new ones i bought proved to be rather rubbish - and combs were awful.

No, you have to crank this one by hand to get it started.

I'll have to be one of the negative reviews of new Remington products, they have definitely got cheaper build in recent years. The guard comb on the last 3 models I have had, ranging between cheap to expensive has consistently been naff and too flimsy, meaning I get a number 1 in places, and a number 3 in others, depending in the blades stayed straight whilst cutting! Avoid as this is the exact same model I had the performed the worst when cutting.

If you don't go for a short cut all over I guess it still may be OK for you however.

Please beware I have this and it isn't very good. It doesn't cut well if you looking a short cut and the hair gets stuck in the comb which you have to keep taking off to clear.

cancelled order after reading the reviews.

I need grade 1-3 so based on the review, I'll pass on this model.

I received the item on time but was disappointed when I opened the box to … I received the item on time but was disappointed when I opened the box to find out some of the parts were missing. It only came with a nose trimmer when it clearly states you should also receive a ear trimmer aswell. The advert stated you could cut from 1-42mm but the two combs you are supplied with only cuts down to 3mm which is too long for me, there should be another comb for cutting between 1-3mm but looking through the instruction booklet it only comes with models HC5550 & HC5750 and not HC5350GP as was sent to me. I feel disappointed with the product as I am going travelling in 2 days and don't have time to send the product back forcing me to go out and buy another set of clippers.

Thanks for the reviews people, will pass on these.

Can anyone suggest a better pair for a similar price?

I bought a different set of Remmington clippers - the mechanism broke after about 2 years of occasional use; flimsy plastic parts that really should have been made from metal. Will not be buying Remmington products in the future. I'd recommend Wahl - have a set of their clippers now and they seem to be built to last.

Shall I cancel the order guys? the price is tempting me!!!

If your not happy with them just return them, Amazon return policy is hassle free.

I have got the Maverick which is in the same range and it's really good.
