Decent set of clippers at a great price.

Worth buying for this comment in the review alone:

"It comes with a plug and can be used with electricity."

Is it me or does the sides of this trimmer look like its made from the chassis of a sports car?

That's from the actual description posted on the website....proof reading obviously was not in the job description.

I saw that and amended it in my description. Thought I would help them out a little :-)

I bought 2 babyliss trimmers and they die within a year, 3 year warranty really sells this one to me hmm

Does this come with additional clips for grades 2 and 3?

Around £35 on Amazon and £28 on eBay new, ordered this for £20 and delivered to local Waitrose, thanks OP have some heat! Was looking for a good cheapish trimmer after my has gone AWOL.

Anyone wanting this for £20 with free delivery, it's also available on Amazon

I'm not sure about the 3-year warranty, whether that's specific to John Lewis, but just suggesting it as an option if no-one lives close to a John Lewis and didn't want to pay the £3 delivery charge. If the 3-year warranty is specific to John Lewis then all-in-all it's probably worth the extra £3.

P.S. I couldn't get the link above to work, it takes you to the product charging £31.08 by Dynamic Sounds Ltd. - you need to click on the 'Other Buying Options' below and then you will see the Option to Buy New from amazon.co.uk for £20.

3 year warranty is (I believe) supplied by the manufacturer so wouldn't make a difference who you buy it from (in theory). Good call on Amazon - maybe price matching? But definitely a bonus on the free delivery. Just to note Click and Collect with JL is also free.

Went out of stock as I went through the check out. Another one bites the dust!

Thought it was a beard trimmer :-(

Got some battery wahl clippers via a deal on here over a year ago for about £10 and use them with no guard - leaves a mm or two of stubble - ideal and cheap!

I have these, they leave lines in your hair when cutting on 6mm or less so not the greatest but fine otherwise. Not had this problem with other clippers. Lines soon grows out when that short though.

So that'll be why it went out of stock then! They withdrew it from sale! And there was me thinking it was because they were popular.

And what you are saying is a load of guff. I have used cordless clippers for years and they work fine, yes the battery may need changing at some point but it isn't meant to last forever.

2 combs with 15 Lock-In-Settings (1-42mm)

Can be used with electricity? Does that mean it can be used whilst being charged? I have a phillips and it will not work when plugged in and being charged, i had an old remington which did.

Does anyone know how long it takes to fully charge this?

Best review ever!

It does indeed come with two attachments actually.

Note to anyone who did purchase this, you have to activate the warranty online, site is present on the back of the instruction manual.
