As ever, a health and safety warning... these have no guard on them so stick north of the border
Got this a few weeks again. Basically I have long hair on top but want the sides on a short 1/0. Get my haircut everyweek for around a tenner. Just to get rid of the greys.. Paranoid secondary school teacher.

So far used it the last few weeks. Takes about 10 minutes to do, granted I can't fade.

I have the same Philips cutters as these and one of the prongs on the cutting comb had broken again (if you look on their website there are a lot of complaints about this problem) - this meant having to buy yet another replacement comb at £13. I saw the Remington clippers on offer and decided to give them a try as for £12 more I could have a new set of clippers and I am so glad I did. These are far easier to use than the Philips cutters, have an excellent range of cutting lengths (also cut shorter than the Philips) and have a very good battery life between charges - I'm still on the first charge and have cut my hair 4 times (granted, there's not a lot to cut)!!

Don't hesitate - get them bought!!

Can't say how it compares to the Phillips ones but I can say that these are fantastic. Everyone who comments sings their praises for the cut they give. Do it. And oil them every time

According to the manual for the Phillips clippers: 'The appliance does not need any lubrication.'

I've used both and the remington ones are so much better!
Fantastic clippers, great deal 🔥🔥
got this a couple of weeks ago. works a treat.
I have the Philips ones and these Remington ones.....
The only thing i prefer about the Philips ones, is that they will cut closer without any guard combs. In every other way the Remington is better. They're quieter, have a wider blade so much quicker to do a cut and they are far easier to use if you cut your hair yourself.
I've had many hair clippers over the years and these Remington ones are possibly the best i've used.
£22.99 2 weeks ago. Picked one up then. Doesn't cut quiet a close as i'd like but still amazing clippers. Giving heat as it's still a good deal
Good machine, pulls a bit for me, but I think if you want a short trim often is a godsend

Which one is better for Beard
This one or Phillip’s 7,000 ?

As with others, the comb prongs broke on our Phillips ones, even though they hadn't been used much and were carefully looked after. The reason we bought them was that they cut up to 30mm, which I think is double the length of the Remington ones. But that comb is no longer available as a replacement for our clippers, even at their rip off price, so we're looking for a non-Phillips replacement. Pity as it is easy and comfortable to use, with lots of life in it otherwise.
Kinda tempted by this as my currently thing has to be corded really as it's a lot weaker off cord, even after an all day charge. This looks very portable too.

My only query is the apparently lack of mid graded for close fades

Thanks. I don't want to throw away money and my hair situation isn't ideal anyway but this seems highly thought of

Thanks for the link.

Didn't buy these the last couple of times, trying to kid myself my old beard trimmer was suffice.

Finally bit.

Lets hope they can ... cut it ...
I have the Philips one still works a treat for me
Been using the Wahl barber type clippers for years.
Got these last week, for a No1 or 2 they are superior.
Definitely a cut above. 😬
Got this one a couple of weeks ago on the £22.99 offer at mymemory. I've bought Nicky Clarke clippers that were useless and have been using Philips battery powered and Braun rechargeable beard trimmers to cut my hair to 2mm. The trimmers both do a great job but it takes a really long time to cut as they're quite narrow and takes a bit of going over to avoid tram-lining.

This Remington one is the mutt's nuts! It's a quality cut and feels nice and substantial. Because it's much wider and curved, I can do my hair in less than 5 mins (although there's probably less for it to do thesedays) - I realised I was losing my hair when each day it was taking longer and longer to wash my face in the morning)
Brilliant clippers, just wished they would include a 20-25mm blade for longer hair lengths. The 15mm included is a bit short for me on top.
These are really good, I use them to cut hubby's hair, but I'm sure he could do it for himself. They're really quiet as well
