Contains 3 sockets and 1 Remote control. I did a quick check online and cheapest I could find was £19.56 at Amazon for a similar kit.

My local store had a large selection of various energy saving items on display, I opted for this as I had seen these demonstrated on tv recently as was impressed with the concept. We have a TV, DVD player, Wii and Sky box all plugged in behind a huge bulky shelf unit which made it difficult for us to turn off properly at night, so I often just left them in standby much to the other halfs annoyance! Now all we have to do is click the remote and they are powered off completely..not sure what the potential saving is per year - some companies claim £36 but take with a pinch of salt haha.

The picture is from the QVC website as this is identical apart from the branding on the remote control, it has probably just been rebadged for Morrisons. Incidentally this is £26.50 delivered on QVC!!

Combine energy saving with the ease of switching all your electrical appliances off in one with this kit. It comprises a remote control with three plug sockets that are easy to set up and be programmed to react to either button 1, 2, 3 or 4 on the control. You can also switch off the power with an on/off switch featured on each of the sockets. By using this system no device will be left in standby mode and so it will save the power consumption of all the devices connected to the remote control. It has a range of 20 metres and a battery is included.

Yeah they are a bit of a tight fit on the plugs, but we have ours on a 6 way extension lead behind the unit so have managed to space them apart...:)

Could you post the link to the Maplins one as I couldn't find anything like that on the site...cheers.

Good find, voted Hot.

Please can I butt in and ask any energy savers who have an OWL monitor to also have a look at my thread (below), as I haven't had any replies yet. Thanks.

Anyone know if you can use this with a universal remote control? I have a Logitech Harmony 1000 and would like to program this to switch on my lamps.

I prefer these for £3.00 more but easier to upgrade and add to in the future, They are smaller as well. Not vorted

I currently use the Byebye standby set and have similar one’s to the set in this deal. If you only want to take a TV out of standby or turn some table lights on and off, then this set will do the job with no problems. With Byebye standby you can control 8 device’s with 1 remote and have 8 remotes in the same house and so control 64 individual device’s.

If interested in Byebye Standby search Domia Lite as they are the same and can sometimes be found cheaper under this name

interesting will have to have a look. already have a bye bye set, but looking to expand.
I plug my four gang extension into one and that way can turn tv, dvd, satelight etc off with the one button.

These tend to come up every few months in Lidl with 4 plug/sockets and remote for about £12 - £15
