Is it rental or purchase or both...? A bit confusing I'm afraid.

Have you got a smart TV?

Have you got a smart TV?

I guess so. I can stream my phone on it and it has a number of apps on it.

Then you can either
A, download the chili app.
Or
B, download the app onto your phone, and use a Chromecast or other to stream it from your phone.

Unfortunately they have just removed the apps from a load of TV's including my Panny. I shan't be buying any more from them.
Chili still refusing to allow discounts on John wick 3.
The streaming quality is pretty pants.
For ages these codes worked on any movie, now it’s always just ‘from a selection’. Disappointing every time I get the email through!

What are you watching Chili via? My Panasonic TV (which is less than a year old so not one of the TVs which stopped supporting the Chili app recently) was fine using the Chili app then the picture quality went terrible (worse than SD) around a month ago. I downloaded the Chili app on my Amazon Fire box and the picture quality was perfect (HD/4K).

Pretty new 4k Philips ambilight. 4k Netflix, Amazon Prime & YouTube stream fine, it's just the Chili app. The picture is a bit dark, a bit fuzzy and the sound isn't cracking either. It's not completely unwatchable just no where near the quality they claim you're getting, it's like watching an upscaled SD film most of the time. I've watched 4 recent 'UltraHD' films over the past couple of weeks and they've all looked rough. I did get in touch and they gave me a rental credit as compo and said they'd look into it but whilst trying to find a solution myself I came across lots of complaints about the poor streaming quality. Maybe it's just the TV apps though?
Might try it on the Xbox.

Yes, I reported it too. They've just recently updated their app in the last month (they mentioned the app no longer supports a lot of 2 year old+ TVs). I also watch 4K Netflix and YouTube without issue using the TV's built in apps. Unfortunately I don't think there is an Xbox app for Chili (even though the Chili App lists Xbox as an option). Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire or a PC seem to be the only non-smart TV options: -

This code only works for the films on this list, still some cracking titles though.
