Description

Superstar Will Smith gives the performance of his career as boxing legend Muhammad Ali in a visually amazing epic drama from Academy Award® nominated director Michael Mann. Muhammad Ali thrilled the world with his ground-breaking boxing victories in the '60s and '70s. But the man behind the legend is grappling with a tumultuous romantic life, his deeply held religious beliefs and the pressures of staying on top.

A quick-witted, winning personality and strong friendships with close associates, including renowned newscaster Howard Cosell (Golden Globe® nominee Jon Voight), help Ali "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee." But faced with a life-changing conflict outside of the ring, the famously opinionated boxer is forced to rely on the one person he knows the best: himself.

I'm a big Ali fan. This film didn't hit the mark for me. But free is free
And it's free on the US iTunes store

Pretty decent fare, one has to say spirited performance from Smith, but yeah could have been better told.

Agree. Most of this was made up of scenes I can watch the original of, no need for an inferior cosplay version.

Interestingly this film made one of the biggest losses in the history of cinema, about 91 million dollars
One of Michael Mann's worst films (after Blackhat).

I'm not surprised. With so much actual footage about Ali's life existing, (for which I am thankful), it was inevitable that any dramatisation would be compared to it.

And it doesn't stand up well.

Because the real Ali will always out-do an acted-out Ali
Lol didn't know about this movie
