nights are getting colder which means mice love to be unwelcome guests in our homes, these traps are ideal to put in places like an article where they could be nesting.

You need to let it go at least a mile from where you caught it or it will find it's way back.

Snails don't usually have mouse traps

I have a little dance.

No good for my mice. They are all stupid, Not an advanced one among them.

That's weird I've just caught one t-other day, took 2 days to get it though, kept eating the bait without setting the trap off, but finally Lidl chocolate was its down fall, put another out the next night and it looks like the slugs aren't heavy enough round here to set the trap off because they had the chocolate this time, I don't want to frighten anybody but I watched this mouse climb a wall.

Cold from me i'm afraid - you don't have to kill a mouse to get rid of it, traps are available that trap them so you can release them alive. As for that theory that you have to take them a mile away to stop them coming back, i'm sure that if you walk down your street a bit and let it out it isn't going to ignore all the other places it could go and instead zero in on your house like a heat-seeking missile (or 'mousile').

It may not zero in on your house, but it will very likely zero in on someone else's. A little anti-social, perhaps, to be dumping your problems on someone else - and let's not forget how quickly these things breed.

That is true.

As others have said peanut butter is key.

The ones I've just caught are a little different, gingery colour with white underneath. Not catching something nice am I? Don't think they are Guinea pigs!

Killing mice is bad karma, just imagine your next life as a mouse. Your own great grand son may set a trap to decapitate your head!!!

We had a persistent little fella a few years back and being the civilized chap that I am I certainly didn't want to end his life, after trying a few different humane traps I found the following the best and had him caught within a few days (released him in the woods a mile or so away :-)

quadcopter?

I seem to have a small rat problem, so I bought some TRAPS today.

Usually I would be humane but this thing is being persistent & I can't use poison due to neighbours having cats & such.

brilly

Rising up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the eye of the tiger

Yip, it's that time of year. Caught 3 these last three weeks. They don't bother me but the beloved hates them. Bought that humane trap once but forgot to check it..........nothing humane about it I'm afraid. SNAP all the way for me.

Buy an air-rifle (one that doesn't need fire arms licence) and player sniper from your bedroom window, much more fun.

My cat's a freaking beast. Another cat dropped one in the living room and it ran off under the arm chair, too fast for humans to catch easily. I woke him up then lifted the chair and he was all over it in a split second, and trotted straight outside with it in his mouth.

When he's around who needs a mouse trap. Not a week goes by when he doesn't catch a mouse. His current record of 6 in 5 days was set last month. I don't know where he gets them from, it's a moderately built up area. I looked out last week and saw him tossing one poor thing about on the lawn and batting it like it was the baseball world series.

mousile...haha

Don't expect it to work after seeing this:

Yep, these work just fine, got one myself. Just don't forget to check it regularly. Also, don't be fooled if you find it closed but it feels too light to have a mouse in it - trust me, it's in there! They don't weigh much!

HaHa, so true. I came back from the pub one night and saw it had dropped down! Picked it up and it was light as anything, I even gave it a little shake to be sure. Nearly had a heart attack when I opened it and out shot the mouse at nearly the speed of light!!! lol
Silly **** still went back in it a few days later though, plonker!!
